Gorden Tallis has taken over hosting NRL 360 this week from James Graham.
Iâve only just realised, but what is it with the men wearing ties? Switch over to Fox Footy and none of them are wearing them.
The leagueys look like they either going or coming from a crap corporate lunch
Are/Did Fox do their wrap around coverage tonight for Origin?
Interesting - so not the studio set up of last year with Yvonne Sampson and co.
Sky Sport were down to carry the Fox wrap around on one channel (before switching to the game feed) and the Nine build up on another (as they did last year) but must have changed their mind as theyâre not carrying the above.
The above is the nightly show of âNRL Tonightâ, not the match coverage.
Yep, Iâm aware. Sorry if that wasnât clear.
So they didnât do anything at all? Did they have their own call for the siren replay?
I think they did their own commentary but there was no pre and post game show like other years.
Interesting that for the last few years for matches in New Zealand they still do their own call rather than just taking the Sky Feed. Though they do have Tiff Salmond as the local sideline eye.
I also wonder at times when are they calling games at the stadium or in a studio off the Tv screen
They are always calling from the studio, they have Tiff Salmond there so they have a presence at the game for Fox but even in finals last year it was done from the studio. Steve Crawley has no interest in taking the Sky feed.
Was Paul Crawley sacked or up for contract renewal at the Telegraph, he disappeared for a few months and is now writing articles for Fox League.
Iâm guessing that Glen Larmer, Honey Hireme-Smiler & Adam Blair are the world feed for Warriors home games even though Fox uses their own callers. Thatâs the feed thatâs used on the NRL site for replays. Nineâs used for their games and Fox for the Fox excusive games not in NZ.
Iâm surprised that Steve Crawley hasnât put pressure on Sky to replace Glen Larmer with a Fox caller. That would make more sense.
Iâd say itâs also to keep the broadcast uniform as well and that they donât care whether itâs from the studio or not, he said in an article a few years ago that âthe kiwis have their callers and we have ours, end of storyâ.
Not sure it really matters to them now. They do their own call so donât really care what NZ does.
Andrew Voss (pre-Fox) and Matt Russell used to do the Warriors games in NZ for Sky.
Interesting set up on Fox Leagueâs Sunday ticket today.
Braith Anasta anchored the build up and halftime for the first of three games before Greg Alexander took over (he was a panelist prior) for the last two games. They didnât do a lot in camera for the last two games in the studio. Guessing Braith went home ill or similar.
Candice Warner is also on the sideline for the Tigers v Roosters game - not sure sheâs done it before?
Thatâs an interesting one. Wouldnât be surprised if Davidâs deal included some extras (on or off paper) like this.
If he was scheduled to host the whole stretch then yeah. Sometimes on the AFL version the studio team changes between breaks across games.
I suspect he usually would have - felt like it was a last-minute switch given the lesser use of studio shots, plus they only had Brandy and Cooper at halftime of the late game. Matty Johns jumped on the panel after the second game (I think it was).
Paul Kent, who had run ins with several pavements in recent months and is affectionately known asâKuntyâ on social media, has parted ways with News Corp and Fox League, The Australian reports.
