Fox Footy

I’d love to know what the 360 theme is. I love it

I believe it is just production music.

Foxtel Media CEO Mark Frain told B&T that sponsorship revenue across AFL and NRL is already up 30 per cent year on year, with many NRL brands expanding their investment into AFL because of the live Saturday coverage.

Frain predicts north of 100 new and smaller advertisers could also join the party this season, particularly state-based brands that buy Fox Footy advertising spots programmatically.

How long has Matt Nable been doing the “hype” VOs for Fox Footy?

I first noticed him doing them at the start of last year.

Updated (?) timeslot logos via the Foxtel TV Guide. Note that TNF & FNF are now spelled out rather than acronyms as previously shown.

Pretty sure the Geneva convention was created to deal with stuff like that.

Super cringe from 0:00 to 0:50 tbh.

Who actually comes up with this crap?

Mark Howard said on Triple M that Fox will broadcast all games at the actual ground going forward. Not sure if he was being serious or facetious but hopefully the former!

That means main callers like Howie himself, Dwayne Russell, Anthony Hudson will have to commentate from the actual ground instead of from Foxtel studios in Melbourne.

I’m suspect that they actually will beyond the Thursday and Friday night blockbusters.

New “FNF Fox”-branded mics. Interesting pivot, look better than the generic Fox Sports ones they were using last couple of seasons. Hope they fix the audio dropouts soon, though.

I did some research and it’s written in the broadcast contract that they have to call from the ground.
