Interesting that they’ve managed to get Skull and Junior etc in on a Friday night for the Big Break.
Usually, they’d just simulcast the SA coverage?
Interesting that they’ve managed to get Skull and Junior etc in on a Friday night for the Big Break.
Foxtel channel 522 is normally Main Event 2, makes sense to use it as an overflow when there’s no PPVs on.
Don’t you mean on 521?
Interesting. Normally Fox wouldn’t bother with a series like this let alone find an alternative channel to broadcast it on. Good to see
Hmmm Is it only a pop channel? Main event didn’t have two channels a few years ago last I checked. They would normally just use the Fox sports channels as overflow if needed.
Well they were there for the pre-match.
I thought that had Fox Sports More on Ch. 508 that pops up as needed?
Weird call to make 522 a thing
Yeah, unless that had something during the match’s bracket?
Yet they have Fox League showing repeats for the millionth time too
All Fox Sports channels are full aside from Fox League/Fox Footy
Wonder why they’re using 521/522 over 508…
I’ve never really got this. I don’t mind the idea of having Fox League/Footy/Cricket branding, but when they have full channels dedicated to each, some of the scheduling looks pretty dire once the seasons are over, and midweek in-season it doesn’t look much better sometimes. They get away with Fox Cricket a bit better because of the volume and year-round nature of the sport, but even then the channel is full of highlights and minis outside of the matches.
Watching the highlights of the SA test i recognize Mark Nicolas and Mark Howard, but who are the other ball by ball callers, i think they are from South Africa, but i could be wrong.

Natalie Germanos and Pommie Mbangwa have been the main ones with Nicho and Howie, Shaun Pollock has also done a couple of stints as ball-by-ball
Not Howie anymore. He is now “the Australian man” lol
