I also don’t like the big space between the batting team and the batters info but the lack of space between the batters & bowling info.
they could of moved the batting data so there is even space
I was expecting it to only take up 2/3rds of the width of the screen

Better execution than the awful fox footy graphics. The big chunkiness is quite on trend with the retro graphic design direction of late. Still not as nice as the colourful NZ cricket ones however.

I think that’s because they are sticking with the Fox Sports AU theme of black
I like them - the score is the hero and catches the eye instantly - as it should be.
It’s the most important element of the graphics and what you want to see first when you tune in.
Agree with @Apple75 about the spacing to the batsman info though.

Assuming the rain doesn’t come at 5.20 like AccuWeather says.
I like the boldness of the score but I think it’s a bit too big. I think if they added this boldness to the score size of the previous one then it would of been fine for me and still becomes the hero

I think they’ve always tended to show it in ‘venue time’ IIRC?
Which obviously puts the onus on the viewer to work out…could probably do a countdown clock.

The logos are square. It simply doesn’t work for cricket logos imo and you’d have to wonder how the BBL would put their logos on with such a design
But I am glad they’re using more boxy graphics elsewhere instead, nice refresher from everything in the world moving towards curves.
That thick font is horrendous.

The thick font is obviously copied from Fox Footy graphics.

They done some very slight tweaks today (weight transfer etc) , noticed more Westpac branding aswell that I didn’t notice in the Perth game!

The scoreboard shits itself so often that Fox has, with this redesign, introduced a backup graphic in the same style. Batting team icon and name, score and overs. Someone may be able to provide a screenshot.
Side note, give me that graphic with the batsmen’s scores and maybe the bowler, and I could totally live with that. Feels there’s a lot going on in cricket score graphics these days
