Honestly, I’ve never tried it because I always use the apps for whatever network on my mobile or tablet.
I’ve just tried it and I get “Unable to play on this device” but it may require a setting change that I just don’t know how to set up.
I think you can’t watch FTA channels through the app - you can watch paid channels like ESPN etc .
I think it’s for reasons like sports etc which might have FTA rights but not streaming (at least that’s what I thought thinking about the AFL with the old rights when I tried watching 7 on the fetch app) since watching it on the app is kinda like streaming.
But you can watch recorded stuff through the Fetch app, it’s not the best and easiest to use but it works quite well

I thought that Fetch was done with ISP partnerships outside of Telstra - now they’re rolling out an “affiliate partner model”, starting with Occom from Monday.

Is’nt Fetch still connected to Optus and iiNet?
Yes, well, those price ‘revisions’ aren’t helping.
Optus stopped selling new subscriptions, and iiNet migrated their users to deal with Fetch directly.

My fetch is still with Optus. It had some troubles but they said they couldn’t fix it because they don’t operate fetch anymore BUT they sent a replacement fetch which was also an Optus one.
I just had to mail the old one back or they would charge be it’s full price

It looks to me like this new “affiliate partner model” only amounts to a promotional discount on boxes (a paltry, in my opinion, $30 off). It seems very low-effort for Occom, with them driving referrals, and Fetch handling everything else.
I don’t think you even have to be an Occom customer to get the discount.
