Fetch TV

I switch between the two. Love the Rachael Maddow show. Also find the ad break fillers boring on MSNBC and I love it when they leave the US ads in accidently even though I am not a fan of ads generally. I also like CNN’s night time presenters and sometimes record them if I’m watching MSNBC. Since well before the election I watch these channels more than any Aussie news channels apart frpm ABC news. Not a fan of commercial channel’s news!

I’ve found myself watching a lot more of CNN over the past year, once things had settled down in Australia with COVID and I was working from home I switched over and it was interesting getting the US perspective on things and then things kept happening over there, Trump vs Covid, Trump vs BLM, Trump vs Biden, Trump vs Democracy, Trump vs Reality etc…
I’ve watched some MSNBC but the ad-breaks I just can’t stand so I don’t watch much. Most of the stuff I watch is from Erin Burnett onwards otherwise I’ll watch ABC News or Netflix or whatever. Plus I’ve been back at work since about June or July so I don’t watch as much as I used to.

I prefer MSNBC to CNN, as their tiresome panels are so bland. Morning Joe and Way Too Early are good, I like Ali Velshi who is on now on weekends too.

I have Fetch in the lounge but I watch a US stream in my office with the US ads.

Most of the cable shows are podcasted, certainly nearly all of the MSNBC stuff - I don’t think you lose much from them without the video, and usually it means almost no ads vs watching on Fetch live.

I like it on live in the background when I’m working.

We run a very small office. Nicky and I put four TVs in so we can have news services in front of us. So TV1 is Sky, 2 is ABC, 3 is MSNBC and 4 is CNN.

Because I work very early, it’s mostly MSNBC that I turn the volume up on.

Hi all. Apologies if this has been asked, but we are thinking of subscribing to Fetch TV to access CNN and MSNBC and I’d like to confirm the following is possible for these two channels?

1 x Samsung TV set (I assume connected to a box)
2 x iPads

Will all three play CNN and MSNBC at the same time? Any connection issues? Also, is there a Samsung app? Lastly, are the above channels in HD?

Cheers!

Yes, but that is the Fetch Mobi maximum (2 devices). You can have 3 TVs going on the one Fetch account, with a mighty and two minis.

They would only be your own internet’s issues.

No, you have to get a Fetch box.

Yes, if your internet is good enough. All streaming channels are HD by default.

Surely you only mean the aforementioned CNN and MSNBC?

No, other than the Sneak Peek channel, they are all HD.

A lot of the others are HD such as BBC First and National Geographic, others are SD or appear to be SD such as UKTV.

Oh OK, I only have the knowledge pack, but most are in HD.

UKTV is a terrible picture, but it could also be the quality of some of the copies of the programs.
