God 7’s promo is awful.

So WIN will have two channels showing election coverage. That’ll be an interesting ratings read.

Historically have they started the coverage at 4pm ? Surely that is going to be hours of crap until the counting actually starts.

Better than Ten. Oh wait they won’t do coverage like the other networks do :stuck_out_tongue:

In Channel 10 PR language they call it ‘Studio 10’ and I think that’s beautiful

Hahaha surely by the next Federal Election its going to start with a special extended eddition of Weekend Sunrise etc…

I would have trialled the Studio 10 program, however I understand from teh run sheet its full of musical performances rather than discussions, I wonder if they will chuck in an advertorial  actually, they should have employed some comediennes and filmed a spoof advertorial with each of the main parties, that I would watch.

Nine have had a 4pm news bulletin since their schedule for the day was released. It was obviously going to be election focused (as long as there is no other major news on the day).

I was waiting to see if Seven might counter with a bulletin though they have SANFL in Adelaide and AFL in Brisbane leading into their coverage.

SBS World News election coverage will air live at 8.10pm in WA this Saturday, and 10.10pm in other states, but SA and NT will miss the first 30 minutes due to the broadcast of documentary Freddie Mercury: The Great Pretender.

Also, ABC Radio Melbourne’s Rafael Epstein will host his drive program live from Eastland Shopping Centre in Ringwood in Melbourne’s east tomorrow (Thursday). Ringwood is located in the crucial Liberal seat of Deakin.
In Sydney, Wendy Harmer and Robbie Buck will host a forum at ABC’s Ultimo HQ tomorrow morning with local candidates from all major parties. Bookings for public tickets are essential.

Video of ABC’s set. I can see what they are doing and how it will look, similar to BBC’s Election set. I think it’ll look fantastic.

Judging by that press release, it sounds like Nine’s coverage is going to be the best pick of the commercial networks (sorry, Ten).

I actually think Michael Usher is a far better presenter at rolling coverage I.e elections than Peter Overton & Deb Knight. Ross Greenwood is a massive turn off as well, him & his big wall. It will however have great presentational elements such as set & graphics.

Glad Nine clarified this- unlike Seven who wanted to imply that Mark Ferguson wasn’t brushed aside and is a part of their coverage.

Nice to see Leila.
