Will ESPN broadcast NBA games produced by Prime Video from the 2025-26 season under this rights extension?

In Australia and New Zealand, ESPN has exclusive rights to Thursday night NFL matches which are shown on Prime Video back in USA.

Be surprised if they do considering Amazon will have global rights for their NBA package.

Interesting. The ESPN release here states all conference finals games.

The Amazon release states “Prime Video also acquires rights to exclusive coverage of every game of the postseason SoFi NBA Play-In Tournament, first- and second-round playoff games, and Conference Finals in six of the 11 years of the deal. Prime Video will distribute its package of games in the U.S. and internationally”

I guess we’ll find out when it happens.

ESPN will show AEW: Grand Slam Australia next year.

This is for the rights in USA, Canada, Latin America and the Caribbean only. Nine/Stan has the Australian rights to the tournament for the next couple of years.

Do we know for certain what Nine/Stan how long left as far as their overseas slam contracts go? I tried looking a little while back and could not find anything.

Despite spending a little too much time on interviews, ESPN’s coverage is great, do a good job going between courts when matches are close etc.

ESPN appears to have a new score graphic for College Football

However it’s not on every game. That game (on ESPN1 here) is on ABC in the States. The game on ESPN2 here (ESPN in the States) has the old score graphic.

So maybe the new graphic is only for ABC games.

It will be interesting to see if the ESPN Monday Night Football graphics change at all, as the old College graphic is quite similar to the MNF graphic. ESPN’s one preseason game didn’t show any indication of a change.

Looks like they are using a different set of graphics for their SEC on ABC game. It will be interesting to see if it gets rolled out wider or if it just for these games.

Unlikely to see a change as they only just updated last season. Their next update would likely be the Super Bowl in 2027.

The 2024/25 WNBL fixture was released yesterday morning. The season starts on October 30 with new team Geelong United (formerly Bulleen Boomers) hosting Townsville Fire. ESPN will show one match live per week during the regular season, and all finals live.

Very interesting that ESPN is taking the international feed, rather than the NBC feed during the NFL Kickoff 2024 game.

DAZN had the US feed in which I watched

Maybe that’s a new part of their deal?

Encouraging more people to get NFL Game Pass. Well worth every penny and I get the full US experience and all 17 Packers games. RedZone is available on Game Pass live and on-demand

I think the graphics were the ones used for international feed but the commentary was NBC.

Also the final decision had the NBC graphics in the international one

Similar to Fox graphics getting through to 7 during DRS decisions during test cricket (and vice versa for BBL)?
