And in a bizarre twist, TV personality Andre Rerekura has been shown on a social media video as the man who took the snake off the plane before the aircraft departed.
Mr Rerekura, who stars on Disney’s Shipwreck Hunters Australia, described the snake as a “cute” Stimson’s python.
After racking up more than $10 billion of losses over the last half-decade, 2024 was the year Disney finally started making money from its digital platforms, turning the corner in what’s been an exceedingly difficult effort to reinvent itself for the Netflix era.
‘Subscribers were overwhelmed’
Sounds like quality really should matter over quantity…?
Maybe they should give all these Star Wars spinoffs a rest. There’s just too many of them and even die-hard fans have lost interest.
I haven’t even finished The Clone Wars series yet, I still have to start the others.
With the live action series at least, I think the balance has been reasonable. In a single calendar year they haven’t had more than 2-3 series airing.
And aside from Kenobi and Ahsoka, the others are original stories separate from the main saga and CW/Rebels which anybody can jump onto.
That’s a lot. One series is more than enough. There just isn’t an appetite for that much content.
That’s the problem. Nobody cares about those.
Remember, when announced nobody cared about The Mandalorian or Andor because they weren’t intricately tied into the main saga, until people actually watched it and realised they were really good.
Original content, when done well, works.
I’d personally rather original content that can stand on its own, versus continuous rehashes and follow-ups to what we already know. Not that it isn’t welcome if they do it every so often.
Either way, my point is that the market is flooded.
2-3 Star Wars series a year is nothing when you think about how many NCIS’, FBI’s, Chicagos’, Law and Orders’ etc there are.
The Mandalorian was amazing.
I have spoken.
