Maybe its just me, but I feel there is still a huge place in the market for subscription linear television - whether that delivery is via traditional methods (ie Foxtel, Sky), or via the streaming providers - I think the volume and selection of streaming content on each platform can make it overwhelming at times to ‘just find something to watch’ at the end of the day.

Reading the article, it sounds like ‘new’ Fox retained this lot, and Disney was just leasing some of it. Nothing says the lot will be bulldozed or anything.

The space occupied by Disney could be leased to multiple parties over varying terms, as is already the case for the “New York street” on the Fox lot, which hosts music videos and commercials along with films and series.
