It’s already happening.
Two years ago I stayed at a Sydney AirBnB where the only way to watch FTA TV was to access it via your phone and stream it to the TV. The TV did have apps but only for some of the channels and they didn’t work too well (e.g. bad sound quality).
Give me an aerial feed any day. Reason being you can 't skip ads on the FTA Catch-Up on-line services. And also thankful for my Plex HDHomerun FTA PVR on my NAS so as to record content from FTA. This also means I get to keep content long after the on-line Catch-Up services delete or expire content.
