They’re actually doing it it right for once.
What’s everyone’s thoughts on the Steal The Deal endgame? In my opinion they should have just 1 question mark case brought out and the contestant decides whether they want to play or take the deal. There should only be 8 figures. It looks odd with their being 6 figures on the left hand side and 5 figures on the right hand side.
Grant Denyer features in an exclusive interview in VWeekend magazine (and assumed its interstate equivalent) in Herald Sun this Saturday (paywall), marking 25 years in showbiz.
Do you think 10 needs another game show at six to prop up the news on Sundays
I don’t think they’ll risk moving The Project again so soon on Sundays from the newish 6pm start time, but you never know…
Because 10 News has been growing since Deal’s endgame
I wouldn’t put 10’s upwards tick with the 5pm news recently solely down to Deal or No Deal, there are probably several factors at play there.
Heavier news cycle, less competition in the slot of late, shuffling of deck chairs in most states on the commercial rivals, more bulletins on air throughout the day reinforcing the brand etc.
Perhaps the news is up, because the Cricket and Tennis being on - and the news is an alternate to those non-sports lovers. Is the news up from last January? It does seem to be higher this time around.
As for Deal, the Julia Morris and Robert Irwin episodes being done as a “normal” 30 minute edition rather than a Celebrity 60 minute edition - i think 10 should do more of these. And thrown into the mix here and there.
I think they should air new episodes Sundays and repeats Fridays. And junk The Sunday Project entirely.
They already run repeats on Fridays, have for some time now
Do a new endgame for Sundays
What’s endgame?
The red light thing maybe?
The show has only been back for 4 episodes and the siren thing only happened in one of them.
Yes
In 2 episodes actually. Monday and Wednesday
Yeah I kinda fell asleep at the near end of Wednesdays episode lol
Tonight’s episode with Robert Irwin again raised money for Wildlife Warriors.
Robert’s game got off to a bad start, losing the $30,000 (opened by Julia Morris) and $100,000 cases in the first three minutes. By the start of the final round the top amount remaining was $50,000 but that was gone quickly as well. Robert eventually won $2,500 with case 6 (his family’s lucky number). The siren was then triggered which meant Steal the Deal time. Robert stuck with case 6 and this time it turned to joy with $15,000.
Tonight’s episode was truly bizarre. The contestant picked each case in numerical order from 1 to 22. The banker was playing games with her also. Her first bank offer was $6,789. Picking each case in numerical order isn’t a good idea as she got to case 15 and eliminated the $100,000. She got down to the last 2 cases of $500 and $750 and her final banker offer was $678 which she took. She then was offered the opportunity to Steal The Deal which she did. She picked case 11 and walked away with $7,500.
