They gave him $300 for dancing and $250 for a correct guess, neither of which he probably should have got lol
WTF. And this is a network that is apparently losing money, and probably already made a very big investment in the show in the first place. Now they are giving out money for dancing?
It was a Renault before being a Peugeot
Everyone talking about 10 and money…pretty sure DOND is a Endemol Shine Production, so they would be footing the bill…
Yeah, exactly this.
The cost of the winnings are factored into the production costs of the show, and given a number of factors including set infrastructure being a one off expense and already in place, a repetitive and condensed filming schedule, amount of money to be won (reduced in this instance), highly repeatable content for the most bang for buck and you’ve got a fairly economical show to air.
For the higher amounts, I’m relatively sure these are insurance payouts where the show itself is not covering it, rather a policy is paid out.
Ohh it’s actually a mobile, I was imagining it was like an old school telephone haha.
Seems a bit redundant, Grant could just pretend to be talking into his earpiece or something?
Deals numbers yesterday were 258k and 71k simulcast that saw Deal rank as 10’s second most popular program after Dog House Au - national and metro.
Game shows are still alive and well here judging by the numbers.
Who said they were dead? They have always been around but people just get bored by the same old thing after a while.
If Nine and 10 were smart, they’d really crank the marketing left-right-and-centre (especially to their target key demographics) even more while they’re performing strong or in the latter’s case at least comparatively speaking and one of their top shows even ahead of Project and news, especially in the demos. Keep that momentum and who knows a bit further down the track.
I don’t reckon either network expected both TP and DOND to have done what they’ve been doing already, respectively.
Damn tonight’s contestant was way to greedy! I knew he was going to have a $1,000 when it came down to the last 2 cases. If I was him I would’ve taken the deal of $5,000 to play it safe.
Not going to lie the revival is a downgrade from the original show. $500-$250 being the amount of money someone wins for a correct guess. And no features such as a Megaguess, Double Or Nothing and Second Chance.
It really doesn’t matter. Get over it or stop watching it.
What a shame. Such a cutey.
Have to say, I am really enjoying this incarnation.
same here, it’s so good to have it back. Grant might be a little too hyper at times, but it’s still been such a good joy to watch after work
Seven used to pull a million viewers at 5:30pm - how many viewers is 10 achieving now in a primetime slot?
I actually think they’ve kept the prize amounts pretty high. This is definitely a more expensive show to produce than Feud or any of 10’s other attempts in the slot over the last 5-10 years.
It’s just my opinion. Features like Megaguess, Chance, Double Or Nothing, Supercase and Second Chance made the Seven version more entertaining
329k if I read that correctly from above. My understanding is that figure is a national figure, including BVOD and the simulcast (I assume also national). All that just to rate 329k doesn’t look good to me.
It would pull a million viewers if they aired it at 7:00pm
