Last score i saw in Pune was India 7 for 180 chasing 359. Thing is it’s only Day 3.

Time definitely not an issue, nor is weather, only wickets.

Edit: 8 down now, Ashwin out.

NZ win!

A maiden Test series win on Indian soil!

Congratulations New Zealand!

The great times continue for Kiwi sport.

HOWEVER…

I think that will come to an end tomorrow in the rugby league double header!

Amazing performance by the Black Caps. The reaction among the partisan Pune punters was one of utter shell shock, Asif Pakistan launched a nuke over the border.

Probably the greatest moment in sport for the year in my book, though I’m utterly biased being both a cricket nut and a Kiwiphile!

Because it’s an ICC requirement

Weber BBQs has extended its partnership with the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) for another two years.

Matthew Wade today announced his immediate retirement from international cricket. He will continue to play for Tasmania in domestic cricket and Hobart Hurricanes in the BBL, and join the Australian coaching staff for the men’s T20 series against Pakistan, which begins in Melbourne on Monday.

Not just the domestic competitions but also the ODI Series and T20I Series

The below major competitions/series all do not have a title sponsor
Sheffield Shield
One Day Cup
Women’s National Cricket League (Never had a sponsor)
One Day International Series
T20 International Series

How could Cricket Australia let this happen?

Looks like CA’s sponsorship deal with Dettol elapsed at the end of 2023/24 season (Dettol came on board in September 2020).

Perhaps too many sponsorship packages? They also currently don’t have a home shirt sponsor either so this summer the kits will be blank unless they find a sponsor in the 11th hour. The series sponsor used to appear on the team kit but then CA got too greedy and wasted more so split the package

Is this also relating to the upcoming test series?

Wouldn’t mind seeing the one day kit blank for a change. Or have AUSTRALIA emblazoned on the front like they do in ICC events

Cricket Australia opts out of Australia Day battle with summer rivals

Cricket’s greatest summer rival has prompted it to avoid playing on Australia Day next year.

Cricket Australia has decided not to play matches on Australia Day this season but has not ruled out returning to the date that triggers an annual public firestorm.

I detest this stuff. CA just seem to be hell bent on alienating their core supporter base.

Watching the warm up match in Mackay Australia A have Toyota emblazened on their shirts. So i don’t think they will be cleanskins even if that’s what they are selling merchandise wise.

Can i say thought. I haven’t and never will warm to names and numbers on Test and first class shirts or for that matter sponsors logos emblazened on the front of shirts. Having a logo in the chest and sleeve I’m okay with but what it’s become. Hate it. Nothing is sacrosanct anymore. Just hope the baggy green doesn’t get replaced with baseball caps.

Why is not playing on Australia Day alienating fans?

Yeah likely a renewal of Toyota’s upgrade from last season if they can’t get another sponsor.
