Definitely not a bad thing for the Australian cricket team! But as it’s India we’re playing, I think they’ll have to reign any bias in.

Too long in my view. But I guess this year will be different, domestic comp will be “important”. It would be great if they can put some Shield Cricket on TV but it won’t happen.

Archer broke the protocol by having a brief stop at his flat in Brighton, during the trip from the Ageas Bowl in Southampton (venue of the first test) to Old Trafford in Manchester (venue of the second test). Apparently this is not allowed :flushed:

If Australia isn’t able to host next year’s T20 World Cup, then Nine (which has the FTA rights) will want to pull out, given a World Cup in India may not rate as high as a home tournament.

They are being pushed back a year. Australia is 2021, India is 2022. There’s no reason to think if Australia can’t host in 2021 that India would be able to.

Can’t see why Nine wouldn’t want India, the timezone is still friendly and those events have done well for them.

They will want to get whatever money they can get back in refunds. That’s why they were secretly hoping it would get cancelled completely, much like 7 with the Olympics. Not being played in Australia gives them an out, which they would be more than happy to take from a financial standpoint.

The 12 full members of ICC (including Australia) plus Netherlands will take part. The league will see each side play four home and four away three-match ODI series in a fixed timeframe, with the top seven sides apart from hosts India earning automatic qualification for the next 50-over World Cup, to be played in October-November 2023. Teams will be deducted points for slow over rates.

Incredible win for Ireland over England in 3rd ODI at Southampton. England were bowled out for 328 in 49.5 overs. Next, Ireland was sent into bat. Paul Stirling and Andrew Balbirnie have both scored 142 off 128 balls and 113 off 112 balls respectively. Ireland won the match by 7 wickets with one ball to spare!

Should this years’ Boxing Day Test be moved from the MCG, the SCG has put up their hand to host.

Of course they did! :stuck_out_tongue: Anything Victoria can’t host, NSW is chomping at the bit to host.

That is, if we don’t go down the same route as Victoria!

It should be at Adelaide oval. The best ground in Australia and potentially the world.

Reaction by Aussie cricket writer Adam Collins sums it all.

Exactly, Australia were in the best posotion we’ve ever been in to win, but India know that we won’t stand a chance at home in 2022 (with potential player retirements, injuries, etc.) and are useless in India. I mean it’s pretty obvious though: BCCI=ICC.

This is disgusting and appalling decision. Yes it was unlikely for the WC to go ahead this year with COVID but it was influenced by India because they want to have an IPL in that timeframe.

India is in a far worse state then Australia so why does Australia now need to wait until 2022? I am fed up by this Indian influence. They will now host two T20 WCs in a row then get the World Cup in 2023. Most of Australia’s players won’t be around now in 2022 and we are in the best chance to win at home now but India don’t want that happening don’t they :rage:

2022 will be a massive year now for the women’s game with World Cup, Comm Games and T20 World Cup (was always planned)

Australia will be hosting the 2022 T20 World Cup weeks before the men’s football World Cup in Qatar

Australia’s limited overs tour of England next month has been given the green light. Broadcaster has not been announced but it’s expected Fox Cricket will show the 3 ODIs and 3 Twenty20 matches live.

Doesn’t it have to be on FTA? And hasn’t Cricket Network got this season’s rights alongside Fox Cricket?

England v Australia in any form of cricket is always a separate contract from Cricket Network and Fox Cricket’s existing deal with England and Wales Cricket Board.
