Yeah, a Google image search shows that image is from at least December 2017, but it’s possibly older.
How do you access these internal feeds?
Don’t know if it’s still the case, but it was possible to access ABC feeds on an Optus free-to-air satellite.
As per Herb’s response, they are on satellite. You can also find outside broadcasts from all networks popping up on satellite feeds, but the frequencies for these change all the time and they’re only on when the broadcast is happening, so you have to hunt for them. They also come on different satellites, so you have to move your dish around to get everything.
Also, you can receive all states’ versions of Nine, ABC and SBS, as they use satellite to distribute the programme streams to terrestrial transmitters.
CBS continues to rely on their affiliates to produce the CBS Wekend News. After KCBS Los Angeles, KTVT Dallas/Fort Worth and KCNC Denver it was the turn of KHOU Houston, the first non O&O-Station.
And here’s a YouTube clip of the Saturday edition, also produced by KHOU:
This, by the way, is what KHOU’s own news look like; the clip is from early February, the very beginning of the Covid-19 crisis, bit it was already the lead story:
No Nine?
GMB set this morning (Uk time)
‘Wuhan Coronavirus’ - it’s since spread a bit more…
I thought that clip may have been before the WHO designated it COVID-19, so it was perfectly fine to have been using the old name, Wuhan Coronavirus.
It’s not ideal that so many news organisations are now just saying “coronavirus”, as if there there’s only one, when there have been many of them in the past and there will be more again in the future.
PS: WHO designated it COVID-19 on 11 Feb 2020, so 2 days after that KHOU news bulletin:
Unfortunately Nine didn’t have the press conference. Instead 9 had normal news.
SAme as 10. No live conference. Instead continue to studio 10
WCBS’s local news, live from the anchors’ homes:
At least they’ve got proper microphones, graphics and cameras!
The local news is back on Canada’s CBC. This clip from Vancouver includes the anchor’s explanation for the absence:
