Details of updates to Nine News, include Thursday late bulletin in AFL markets and extended morning news.
Seven News Coronavirus Special (one hour)is scheduled for this Sunday (22 March) at 7pm.
The information was posted yesterday along with a new Seven schedule for that Sunday.
Ten using drone footage of the PMs conference in their report. Wonder if this was their own or from the pool which is the usual arrangement for these things.
You have to wonder if 9 and 7 will permanently leave a news bulletin at 8.30 or 9 - surely it would rate better than their current offerings.
Not so far especially for Seven. Last night for example both had lower shares than the week before. Nine had Paramedics on Tuesday that had been doing good numbers especially in demos. Seven had The Good Doctor at 9pm that was rating better than The Latest achieved.
Love the way 10 are using that set - standing in front of the couch looks good. Pity there is no later bulletin like 7/9. I know that are lean resource wise but perhaps they could do something out of Perth at 9:30.
Usually at major conferences, the networks can output off the government hired cameraman at that conference then send the signal off their Dejero systems back to their station.
Similar to how parliament works in terms of recording state and federal sittings but you insert a Hard Drive there.
Does anyone know whether it’s going to be the norm at the moment that the government gives an update on what’s happening at 9 am each day?

I guess the most important sentence is this one:
Nine has also introduced new work roster procedures, dividing its production team into two separate groups to help avoid the potential of the virus being spread across the newsroom.
Nine has added extra 30 minute bulletin following the NRL tonight.
Sydney 10:45pm
Brisbane 9:45pm
Previously advised that a 45 min bulletin would be shown at 8:30 pm in other markets.
So Nine are adding more bulletins, despite insisting that their regional bulletins had to be canned?
This - removing the local coverage entirely for all the SCA9 viewing areas - is the wrong thing; everyone needs to have that local information about the pandemic, and remember we’re talking about large cities including Canberra & Wollongong, who Nine have abandoned.
They should’ve found a way to keep the local bulletins, even if the local news element was scaled-back.
Nine have just broken into broadcasting with an expected RBA interest rate cut.
EDIT: Interest rates have been cut by a further 0.25%. Davina Smith is hosting coverage alongside Chris Uhlmann (in Canberra) and Chris Kohler (in Melbourne).
Breaking news alert ended after approximately 4 minutes.
Same with 10 with Breaking News presented by Sandra Sully with 10 News First Chief Political Editor PVO.
Sandra will be back at 3pm AEDT for the PM’s Press Conference on 10.
News Flash on Seven with Mark Ferguson at 3:30pm speaking to Network Finance Editor Gemma Acton on today’s interest rate cut and then Political Editor Mark Riley while waiting to take the Prime Ministers media conference from Canberra live.
EDIT-
Ended at 4:09pm going to local Afternoon News.
