Deputy QLD CHO Peter Aitken will act in the role from Monday until a permanent replacement is found.
Canât blame him, given the vitriol dished out to his predecessor and colleagues in other states and federally over the course of the pandemic I canât see people rushing to become CHO any time soon.
Kogan are now selling rapid testing for $14.99. Seems a bit expensive.

I always find it cheap but shit in quality.
Price gouging as theyâre probably sourcing it (or at least starting to sell it) ahead of all other retail. Itâll drop once we start seeing them all over the place.

How can there be hundreds of cases a day I thought you had to be doubly vaccinated and pass a covid test to get to Qld when it opens up?

If people from WA want to go through NSW to travel overseas, then thatâs fine by me.

If McGowan set some criteria to classify states with high number of cases (e.g. NSW and Victoria) as an extreme risk region, then those criteria should also allow for the states to be declassified. He simply canât move the goalposts.
Doesnât look like Iâll be moving back to W.A from the U.K in hurry.
