Hey we at Starter FM would be interested in taking your show if your networking it, shoot me an email contact@starterfm.com or call 0487878178 if that interests you.
Going back a while now but looks like Beau FM isn’t a thing. AIR News has dropped it from their affiliates list. They’ve also lost supplying news to Sunshine FM Sunshine Coast but picked up others like 2AAA FM Wagga Wagga.
Pete Graham is now on 2BCR FM as a guest. Playing jukebox hits.
He did a live video on Facebook as he arrived at the studio.
Who is supplying news to Sunshine FM now?
Its Official!
We are The BEAT Of Richmond, our new slogan and new direction for Starter FM.
We are the newest community station for Richmond and we want you! Help us get our frequence of 89.9, by becoming a member and even a broadcaster today starterfm.com/contact
So have you applied to commence a test broadcast on 89.9?
Not yet we are in the promotion stage, but we are not to far away!
I would use ‘The Beat of the Hawkesbury’ myself, but up to you of course. Richmond is just one of the five towns.
The slogan on-air will alternate at different times to reflect the local area, so for example it might say Starter FM; The BEAT Of Richmond, one time then The BEAT Of Windsor the next, which will make each community area up there feel included.
The BEAT Of Richmond will be our primary slogan however.
Do you need to build a transmitter? Will the existing operators still share the frequency? Wish you the best of luck.
Yes to both, it will mean we would broadcast for a select couple of days, as per what ACMA approve.
How flexible can the location of the transmitter be? Will you pick a spot in town or go up to Kurrajong heights. Could you the ws tower (Hawkesbury Heights) and have a directional configuration.
Kurrajong heights would be the prefered location, for best coverage, but it all comes down to cost.
I’m loving what you’re doing with StarterFM. Brilliant niche format, brilliant logo. All the best shaking up community radio in Sydney.
Is this in Melbourne?
No in the Hawkesbury NSW
They’re taking Nine News (National Edition)
Yeah interesting, I guess you a tech guy to look around and plan. Do you just look for a mobile tower and see if you can “rent it”? Or do you look at option of putting own tower up. Must be a lot of “red tape”. Where the old grass skiing place would be a great place for it.
That’s what I thought too when I heard Richmond
