All the stations in Melbourne still lead heavily with their frequency. In the case of the two big community stations, RRR and PBS, it’s a huge part of their identity. Every second car has two bumper stickers that clearly read PBS 106.7, RRR 102.7, with the numbers the same size font as the name. FM isn’t going anywhere and these frequencies have become an iconic part of life in the city, recognised for 50+ years. Even if a lot of people do listen online, the numbers are very famous and constantly referenced by the hosts + in stings
