Agree. Sad news. Has a place in history that’s for sure.
Very very long shot, I know - but I don’t suppose anyone here knows the name of the track used in this awesome promo from 2006? Thanks in advance.

Among the changes potentially being planned:
- The Situation Room moving to 10am ET, hosted by Wolf and Pamela Brown
- Kasie Hunt moving from the early slot to 4pm
- Jake Tapper at 5
- Possibly an extra hour of Erin Burnett’s show
Like these ideas. If Kasey moves to 4pm though that’ll mean another change in mornings.
As a CNNI viewer that suits me just fine! I’d like to see more shows presented from Atlanta. It’s CNN’s home and I find it a bit sad that they’ve sidelined it over the years.
As long as we get Wolf on CNNI
I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised… I believe at one point it was in his contract that his show was to be shown internationally. I suspect that’s why sometimes Wolf starts at 5 and not 6, because that 5pm hour is shown on CNNI.
If just makes sense. He is CNN.
I’d go CNN This Morning with Phil M and Pam
B and a Washington insider crew to go up against Morning Joe
Then CNN News Central into Sit Room with Wolf.
I never understood why they moved Phil and Poppy from the breakfast show. They were just hitting their stride when it was axed. Stupid.
RE: Sit Room. Currently those hours on CNNI are Connect the World followed by Newsroom with Rahel Solomon… who is allegedly moving to 5am. Newsroom will probably just be replaced with Sit Room. So we’ll probably get at least the second hour, if not the first.
After a month of interim Saturday Mornings, the former Chris Wallace slot is now Table for Five, hosted by Abby Phillip (of CNN NewsNight).
(Via archive.org, footage spliced together)
I’m a real fan of Abby so I’ll be enjoying this ![]()
Judging by the opening, looks like it’s a Saturday morning version of NewsNight (which despite its name has become CNN’s modern iteration of CrossFire).
That’s exactly what it is, a Saturday NewsNight. (That airs during the day…)
Oh wow. She’s been there for years (came from Channel 7 I believe). She had been presenting quite a bit in recent months, after years of only seeing the Hong Kong team occasionally. Good luck to her anyway - I’m sure moving to CBS will turn out more fruitful for her than doing endless fill-in shifts on CNNI.
As was rumoured, Wolf Blitzer and Sit Room moving to the late morning slot. Audie Cornish gets a new show in the early morning. 200 jobs in TV to go but up to 100 new posts in digital. Jim Acosta may be moving to midnight.
