No other networks available in Torres Strait Islands or Outback Queensland.
- Ten Regional Queensland (QQQ) was the only commercial station, they pretty much took a full Ten network schedule with the exception of some major sports events such as the rugby league. This problem was remedied in February 1999 when QQQ switched to a Seven Network schedule and Imparja arrived screening a selection of Nine and Ten programming.
- Ten News in the evening was from Townsville and screened at 6pm. The Ten programming at 6pm aired at 5pm.
- Celebrity Home Shopping was another breakaway programme on Ten Regional Queensland (QQQ) at noon.
