WIN made no difference in improving STW-9 ratings that selling it to Nine is a better idea that have not have any program screw up ever since

She did it out of spite, a difficult thing to get away with when you’re a publicly listed company, albeit with not many shares not already owned by either Sunraysia or WIN.

All Saints at 8:30pm. If Dancing with the Stars finishes on time that is.

Wonder why The OC screened on Ten since is a Warner Bros show that studio usually had a deal with Nine back in the day.

Someone may correct me, but from memory, Nine offloaded it to Ten

Yes, it fizzled on Nine and Ten saw something in it so bought the rights off them and it worked well for them as the young skewing network.

Correct. Nine showed the first season over the Christmas break, but there really wasn’t any room for Nine to air it, so they opted to on sell it to Ten. I think they did this with a few younger skewed shows that Nine had at the time.

Yeah Smallville was another one. I think Ten were going to Nine and offering a deal to secure some of their WB shows.

Nine would have eventually aired The OC in an after midnight slot like most of the WB content that didn’t rate/fit with their target demos.

Yep… back in the 90/early 2000s Seven and Nine had a lot of new content in the 9.30/10.30 time slots as they’re were limited platforms to air these shows. Even after the scheduled late news… you would find new American content post midnight. The VCR came in handy.

As was Supernatural.

The best days, all free and just needed a recorder

Given the “vibe” Ten had back then The OC made much more sense on there than it would have on Nine.

Not really… a lot of these shows very heavily delayed and way behind the US.

If I had to choose, I’d choose the former. I don’t care what other networks in other countries decide to do with their content. Now most of the money has been sucked out and the content produced is shit.

I noticed that CHannel TEN & WIN both screened HOw to Lose a Guy in 10 Days at the 8:30PM Timeslot. Having Movies shown on TEN & WIN at the same timeslot is quite rare.

Plus it was a WIN premiere going by that guide.

End of the road for 6:30 with George Negus. About a week before, Network TEn annouced that they will axe its current affairs show due to very low ratings. In April 2011, the show moved from 6pm to 6:30 timeslot to compete against Today Tonight & ACA. Unfortunately, the show was a distant 3rd behind the other Current affairs show.

I noticed that Channel 10 broadcasted the International Rules match between Australia and Ireland from Etihad Stadium (even though Ten lost the AFL rights 4 weeks ago).

Also note Celebrity Apprentice just 30 minute run time, how did they do it? lol

Nine Perth and WIN broadcasted an International Rules match between Australia and Ireland at Telstra Dome, Melbourne. Telstra Dome had to be used during the International Rules series as the MCG was unavailable during later that year (apart from the Boxing Day Test between Aus and South Africa).

Over on WIN, the ARIA Awards were shown straight after the International Rules match. The ARIA Awards have been previously shown 5 days ago on Channel 10 Perth.
