They’ve done it now!

While Sunshine and (former incumbent) QTV both had regional news coverage, including QTV Eyewitness News being a composite local/national bulletin, it appears that WIN in Cairns did not as yet.
Why was National Nine News at 6:30pm?
Because it would have been at 6.30 in the other markets that had WIN News at 6.00. So they just substituted in Sale Of The Century in the non-regional news markets.
They also have SOTC at 3.30. It’s unclear if 6.00 is a repeat of the 3.30 episode or just an old rerun or something to fill in 6.00 in the non-regional news markets.
Although Sunshine and QTV both had regional news I’m not sure if they had individual versions in each market or if they just had a statewide “regional” news. The QTV news would have also gone out to ITQ and QQQ solus markets.
Why was ABC TV name Two at the listings
The ABC was on Channel 2 in the state capitals back in the analogue days and many referred to it as that.

It’s still on Channel 2 in the digital era

It appears ABC is running regular updates during the day on the US presidential elections.
I still call it “Channel 2” even though I watch it on Channel 20 in HD.
A lot of people use to refer to the ABC as Channel 2. Some people over 50 still do.
Yes, especially in 5 capital cities but there is other channel number in some regional areas such as Channel 1 in Orange
I wonder how much of that afternoon or evening schedule got bumped off for coverage around the Dismissal
