Good to see ATN7 out nice and early back then to cover the Dawn service.
Not sure. It was in the morning by 1963…

EDIT: It looks like it was moved to a morning march in 1960 as from that year the afternoon opening of hotels, theatres, cinemas and organised sport was first allowed:

EDIT EDIT: It appears that in 1965 it reverted back to an afternoon march in Melbourne. It is not clear why this is, but possibly because Anzac Day fell on a Sunday so maybe theatres, etc. were not open in the afternoon anyway? It also might have been because it was the 50th anniversary. of ANZAC
In 1966, it was back to a morning march.
My thought was that it was an afternoon march when ANZAC Day fell on a Sunday?
that seems to be the case. In 1965, 1971 and 1976, ANZAC Day fell on a Sunday and the march was in the afternoon those years.
Three Australian dramas on ABC that night. Can’t imagine that these days!
Although Run From The Morning is most likely a repeat as it was made in 1978.

And a curious move by Seven to have Wheel Of Fortune at 5.00, then Get Smart at 5.30 before The New Price Is Right at 6.00. Seems odd not to put the game shows back to back.

A big night on commercial networks: The TV Week Logie Awards on Ten, and world title fight boxing matches on Seven and Nine. This was the last ever time live world title fight boxing from Australia was shown on free to air television, the following year Sky Channel went to air and all those title bouts in Australia moved there, to be watched only by those in pubs and clubs.

There has been boxing on free-to-air television since then. One example from 2015, The Footy Show Fight Night on Nine:
and Barry Michael Presents TV Ringside from 2016 on C31 Melbourne.
but they are not world title fights.
Ok. You should have clarified what you meant.
Two current affairs programs back-to-back on the ABC - Nationwide and Pressure Point.
I’m fairly certain Seven broadcast Tszyu v Leija from Melbourne early 2000s on a weekend afternoon, time slot clearly made for the US market.

Includes coverage of the Royal Tour, and Ten’s premiere of The Long Arm (two weeks after its Melbourne debut)
Was ‘Good Morning’ on Ten a news show or something aimed at kids?
I think it was a kids show in a similar vein to Breakfast A Go-Go that was in Melbourne. This came up in another thread some time ago…
Thanks for gathering all that information about ‘Good Morning’.

Includes coverage of the Royal Tour
That was for the Captain Cook Bicentenary.

Interesting to see Doug Tremlett also in that production. Doug and Gina certainly had a long association with Doug appearing in Kath and Kim and Gina appearing in one of Doug’s final stage shows before his death a few years ago.
