@TV4 “Seven Brides for Seven Brothers” was, in fact, a musical television series loosely based on the 1954 film.

Starring Richard Dean Anderson (who went on to star in “MacGyver” and, later, “Stargate SG-1”), the television version of “Seven Brides for Seven Brothers” ran on the American CBS network as part of the 1982-83 television season. The late River Phoenix was also part of the cast.

Do you have a TV guide what programmes were going to air that day of the 9/11 attacks?

@Sheldon_Betteridge I’m sorry, but I don’t have the programme listings during the 9/11 attacks.

Does anyone know if the TV3 Travel show travel.co.nz which if I vaguely remember aired on Tuesday September 11 2001 was airing a New York Special which was eerie considering the events that would follow a few hours later.

I couldn’t find the special itself but I did find the promo!

Yes that’s the one, great find! I’m assuming this aired that Tuesday night before the attacks but I could be wrong. Does anyone have the listings from that night to confirm?

My recollection of the day itself (well, September 12 2001 NZT) is that very early TV4 picked up the kids programming of TV3 and rebroadcast the usual TV3 shows during the day? But I do recall TV4’s usual programming going to air that night as usual and the TV3 primetime line-up held over/abandoned as Buffy (a TV4 show) by this point definitely aired. I couldn’t take much more September 11 content by this point of the night so watched Buffy as I would have usually done so.

Yes that’s right, I remember TV3’s day time staples Sally JR and Oprah airing on TV4 that day which was a blessing considering the wall to wall infomercials which would usually air. If only TV3 kept this strategy in play and continued to air a morning news programme long after the attacks but then again TV4’s woes wouldn’t have transpired into the much loved C4.

Well, I can’t really remember any TV from that day. I think my flatmate told me it had happened at about 10am and I had no idea what the Twin Towers were, shrugged, and headed off to a meeting! I wasn’t watching a lot of tellie in 2001… although I usually did make an exception for Buffy too!

Wow, what a throwback to that time and all those shows. Thought there’d be more 9/11 coverage (I’m guessing this was an advanced guide). Cheers for this.
