Classic Countdown

But they’ve done that every year on Rage over summer.

The ones I recorded from Rage a couple of summers ago weren’t like that… I think they were just the clips with no intros from Molly or some of the other studio bits.

What an awesome era for music and the golden age for Countdown.

Bop Girl reminds me of the forgettable Aussie movie Take Away.

Eleven should play some of those movies. I think they could find an audience like The Wog Boy and other Aussie movies they have screened recently.

I was just about to post 1985. The Year of the Mullet. How do you know about 1986 already?

I had to look up that Paul Stewart was from Painters and Dockers.

1987 was the last year of Countdown and the last year mullets were fashionable.

Thanks, yes the ones I saw a few months ago weren’t quite what I was hoping for, which was for the full original epiosdes exactly as aired in their entirety back in the 1980s.

Is that what these are?

Yes, these are the full episodes. There is also a website for Countdown Archives where you can search each episode in advance to find out who will be on the show.

The rage playlist page also gives an indication of which episode is coming up and who hosts.

And, as usual, anything before 1980 is ignored. And they do have complete episodes of the show from the 70s. They just choose not to show them anymore.

Thanks for that!

I will certainly be checking them out, particularly the ones from 1984 onwards, as that’s when I really started getting into Countdown.

In all fairness, the 80s were better. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

But seriously, they don’t have as many complete episodes from the 70s remaining and whatever they do have has probably already been screened.
