I just saw that Sunrise Host Matt Shirvington And Carols in the Domain is following each other could it mean he’s replacing kochie for this years Carols

The event has always been on the Saturday before Christmas. In the past, it would screen live on that Saturday.
A few years back, it was recorded and screened closer to Christmas on the 23rd. This year, the Saturday before Christmas is the 23rd so if the event is on that night then they’re screening it live.

There’s something not adding up here.
Tickets have been sold for Saturday Dec 16 2023 as the LIVE event for Carols. Sadly it could have been LIVE on Saturday Dec 23 this year, but it doesn’t look that way.
Next year the 23rd is a Monday night.

TV Tonight article says it is expected to be hosted by Nat and Kochie. Surely that’s an error.

It’s not. Kochie wants to keep doing it. Maybe they might have Shirvo there too and ease him into the main role after a few years.
