Capital Radio Network

My guess would be the Old Hume Hwy exit at Wellby as soon as you loose LOS to the north
This is where 2GN and Triple M CC will start to CCI. Northern lookout of Gib Triple M CC, Bowral lookout 2GN.

I would think in Mittagong it would be a mix of Triple M and 2GN on 107.7, in Bowral 2GN.

Curious as where TuneIn got that logo from, it’s not on the 2GN website yet.

At least that seems to confirm what the new branding will be.

You hear it first on mediaspy just like the “CADA name”.

Europe The Final Countdown the final song on 1368 2GN.

Dear god they need to get rid of the news bed. About 8 minutes of distracting beds behind news readers is not a good decision.

The Stones Start Me Up first song on GNFM 107.7

Thanks!

The same song that Coast Rock FM (now Hit 101.3) launched with back in September 1990.

Also the first song on Radio 10 - after changing from 4IP.

It was quiet funny for Craig to forget the new call sign running into Ray Hadley, “it’s 13 degrees on forever Classic 1368 2GN”.
I know what’s it’s like for the slip to happen when you’re on air and watching the clock. Auto pilot can be useful but not in this case.

My Achilles’ heel is to announce the wrong programme (I do two shows on Braidwood FM). I do write the name of the show on my running sheet but sometimes slip up all the same :face_with_hand_over_mouth:. It’s easy to do, even for an experienced announcer.

Even Kyle Sandilands once used the 2DAY FM ID early on at KIIS.

Thank you @dxnerd . Your reception is a bit staticky on AM 1368. The FM version is better reception for you. But it not so good for us folk in Sydney who likes to listen on AM from time to time in the evening.

Or further afield like in Newcastle or the trip between Sydney & Newcastle.
I’ve now lost what I think are the 2 best radio stations in Australia 2XL & 2GN. I’ve got no chance of receiving them off air now where I travel, because of Cada on 96.1 & Triple M CC on 107.7.
And for those about to say it, no I won’t stream them, maybe very occasionally, but nowhere near as often as I’d tune in on air, if I’m going to stream a radio station (other than CoastFM Gosford which I do for monitoring the stream), I’m going to listen to something else further afield like from the USA or UK.

Agree, I don’t listen to radio streams very often… it’s not the same as listening to the ‘real thing’ on AM or FM…

You need to move here. I get both with RDS! Or if you want a warmer climate, Ulladulla to Batemans Bay might be the go.

Tonight I’ve noticed that XL doesn’t take news and has less ads as a result; GN continues with news at night. GN FM is also a bit wider and louder than XL.

Yeah you need move down there @RFBurns maybe get a gig on Braidwood FM  .

On another note, that GNFM local newsreader needs to pull back on the ‘news’ voice a bit…

Yeah I did think she was putting it on a bit thick

Not sure about that, I’d be more likely to move North from here than South, but I do quite like Canberra & could see myself living there (North Eastern suburbs around Watson down to Ainslie kinda area), what would XL & GN FM’s be like there, I could live with 2CA though as a good alternative.
Guess I could try for a tech job at 2CA/2CC & semi look after XL & GN FM’s too. Not going to happen in the immediate future but who knows.
