Mix 106.3 remains on top with 20.6%, its share unchanged from last survey. Hit 104.7 was a distant 2nd with 14.4% (+0.5), followed by ABC Canberra at 11.2% (-1.4), ABC Classic at 9.5% (+2.4), RN at 9.4% (+1.1) & JJJ at 8.1% (-1.5). 2CA fell 0.7 to 6.4%, whilst 2CC fell 1.2 to 4.7%.
In the demos, Hit is #1 in the under-40s, whilst Mix dominates in the 40-64s (especially in the 40-54s where it scored a 33% share) & RN tops the 65+.
In breakfast, Mix’s Kristen & Nige is #1 with 18.6% (+0.7), followed by RN’s Patricia Karvelas at 15.3% (+0.7), ABC Canberra’s Lish Fejer at 14.5% (-3.0) and Hit’s Ned & Josh at 14.1% (+0.4). In drive, Mix’s Bronte & Wilko (who are departing the slot) is #1 with 22.2% (-0.8), followed by Hit’s Carrie & Tommy at 18.1% (+2.2), and JJJ’s Hobba & Hing at 11% (-1.7).

The Canberra market is getting pretty predictable, a bit like Newcastle’s, doesn’t help when there isn’t really any competition on FM.

That is true. The same could be said for Wollongong, where i98 continues to dominate well ahead of Wave.
