They (we?) do but can be tougher nuts to crack when trying to sell them something new. Younger consumers can be easier to sway.
Debatable. Once me and my siblings grew up and moved out, the parents suddenly became a lot more generous in their spending. They’ve already told me don’t expect much inheritance when that time comes!! And fair enough, I say.
And also don’t necessarily have preferred brands yet.
For example an insurance company - be front of mind when the young person gets their first car, rental, house, etc and there’s a reasonable chance they’ll stay with you for life. Research shows the majority of people can’t be bothered switching.
Older people on the other hand have a more if it ain’t broke don’t fix it approach. They’re more stubborn and less likely to change who they shop with. Using the example, if they’ve had car insurance with the same insurer for several decades it’s going to take a lot of convincing to get them to change.
Vivenne and Jake would be big readers of this forum. Mediaspy members do the hard work, they publish it unattributed. Daily Mail next for them.
That was always the progression Nova with Paul Thompson and his DMG team had. Unfortunately, the parent company sold out too quickly and the network has been heading down its whirlpool since.
Always, it’s the gateway to sign up iHeartradio audience. Same as SEN with their low powered/AM stations, that’s not their main game, they want audience digitally without changing stations.
Agree @Brianc68, it seems to be a pet project of Duncan and Ciaran’s. They see in the old world, SCA and Nova weak at under 40’s and think they can super serve the demo. Its best use is as a gateway to have the potential audience move to streaming.
Good point @mrworldwide. If ARN could manage any partnerships in seven figures and string a few together for 96.1, they’d be receiving a bonus that year.
ARN’s agency sales would be in the market already yet would be working on a few clients, none they need to worry much about leaks owing to the handful of clients in the target.
In the latest ratings The Edge digital was back in Perth, so it seems like it will switch over to Cada when it launches. 96fm 90s is missing, so it must have been dropped and replaced at some stage
