Roads to Mount Coot-Tha studios were closed today for a bike race.
Is what year did Seven bulid the BCM building and when did they move in?
Going through old photos of Docklands, trying to workout when they were taken.
Hopefully this won’t have any unforeseen impacts for the 7 and 9 News bulletins tonight.
They moved in March 2002. Construction started around 2000. Officially 20 years ago now.
Believe it was filmed at South Melbourne not Docklands.
That would have been smart of me. ahah
Months in the planning and a downright pain in the arse - but all crews are escorted by police through the road closure as required.
Didn’t centralised transmission for all metro 7 stations from Docklands start prior to March 2002 with ATN7 switching over last?
Amanda Paterson probably nutting out how to tun this into a “dangers in your own backyard no family can afford to miss” story for tonight’s bulletin.
Update:
Seven’s attempt at sabotaging Nine’s bulletin averted.
He might find it a little more relaxed and peaceful down at Channel Ten.
Can’t believe they never painted over that world map at the top from the 1980s shopping mall set.
Well, it managed to appear on the Nine News site…
How cool is it… even the two story office windows are there.
Pretty much every building on Mt Coot-tha has a snake - mostly pythons but sometimes other less welcome types.
An easy win for a story but I do miss Amanda from the small screen - she did a good job as a news journo and on ACA
It could only ever really happen at Mt Coot-tha.
Snakes highly unlikely to get into North Sydney, Docklands or the CBDs of Adelaide or Perth.
Nine Darwin didn’t need to get a professional snake handler in to remove an intruder a few years ago. I thought Queensland men were meant to be tough outdoors men.
It might remedy the rat problem if they let a few snakes loose in North Sydney and Docklands.
“Herself a snake catcher on her property”
But sure, expect random folks to capture snakes against OH&S and professional advice.
Unless it was a joke. In which case… haha.
