And it’s probably even much lower today. Regional stations would mostly just contain some Sales Reps and possibly a Receptionist/Sales Assistant (most probably on a Part Time salary).
News and Production have left the building in a lot of cases.

So we’ve only seen 2 different studios at North Sydney for Nine. Are there any other studios? I assume the WWOS studios
… there’s really no such thing as a “regional television station” today … just a local office …

Awesome find, thank you very much!
he he … not so much a “find” … I designed the on-air and production control rooms , the newsroom and sales offices in 1988 … when I arrived in August the site was a soccer pitch and they were playing a match on it … you’re welcome …
ah yes … the good old days …
At 13:17, 2GZ = “Growth Zone” Radio!
Never knew that… odd way to name a station…
And the sister was 2NZ Inverell as “Northern Zone”
At least the “Northern Zone” makes a little bit more sense.
The Bathurst/Orange region was long thought to be a potential area of significant urban growth (including a new city roughly equidistant between the two centres)
could’ve also been named to make it sound good. 2GZ sounds good to the ear and is easy to say. 2NZ, same thing. 2UE was once 2EU and was flipped around for that reason.
Otherwise known as the Bathurst-Orange Development Corporation. Some very interesting history surrounding this proposed development.
I believe there is a video on YouTube compiling some CBN-8 advertisements - one of them about the development.
I’ll find it later this afternoon.
Found myself at Ripponlea estate today, had a quick peak over the fence at the old ABV2 complex. Still pretty much intact from what I could see though the garden is getting overgrown.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the vandals have made their way inside and started trashing the joint.
There’s signs suggesting current security patrols and I did spot a car inside the carpark as I did a lap on leaving. I’d reckon vandals would include taggers and window smashers, looks good from that perspective.
