I presume this would be a standby site for both Ch8 DTV or others & standby site for DAB+ services is that correct?
I think the Panasonic (old Northpoint Building name) is actually a higher building in North Sydney, but mast on the Optus Building would make overall antenna height higher. Only 200m distance between the buildings, wonder if the top floor office workers in the Panasonic building would be happy being that close to the high power transmissions?
Wonder what the proposed erps will be?
The Panasonic (Northpoint) building was once used by 2CBA 103.2MHz in the distant past.
I didn’t realise that the old GLV10 building was literally just up the road from the new studios, which were knocked down about 10 years ago. It is now a Masonic Hall.
And I think Ace Radio’s original studios (TRFM/Gold) which were co-located with GLV8 were also demolished at around the same time.
Ace Radio have since rebuilt nearby the original site which is now located behind the new car dealerships (Valley Ford, Honda and Valley Prestige BMW I think).
I was thinking that if Seven went into administration Nine would be able to purchase the rest of the company for $1 which is what Seven originally offered 10.
Looks like ‘NPC Media’ still suffering teething problems for Seven’s play-out change, with tonight’s first ep of The Simpsons on 7flix going to the first ad break within 30sec of the program starting (as soon as the opening credits concluded)! Shocking.
This happened during the first week in the new facility last year on 7mate, but was fixed by the following week.
From the looks of it, yes. The old Studio A at Channel 10 when they were at North Ryde used to be the largest TV studio in the country. Well, that’s what the audience warm up guy told us when I was in the studio audience for the very short lived “Family Double Dare” back in 1989.
MediaHub (if they still play-out 7flix metro) having issues tonight, with PRG all over the place. Classification Warning also not aired. An example here of a PRG (normally after an ad break) at the start of a program instead and incorrect title:
And NPC Media also had an issue with 7mate metro. Pooch Perfect pop-up failed big time, fading-in bit by bit (like glitches with a scratched DVD) and was completely illegible, just a pile of graphic mess. Plus, the middle ad break PRG didn’t work, with the 2nd line (promoting another program on another channel) randomly coming on some minutes later.

No problems in Adelaide market (aforementioned pop-up capped below from that feed), must’ve just been Melbourne
They also had a bit of a pic/audio sync issue on Nine Wednesday.
They’re separate, but combined systems between all who are played out at NPC, & these could be partially related to SCA starting play-out from NPC as of yesterday.
SCA Vast is now live from NPC, 7 Darwin, Hobart & Launceston are due next week, then the remaining 7 & 10 scheduled for sometime around 20th March, due to locals needing to do a re-scan & local notifications need to be issued.
