Trump v The Truth is described as an “unbroken catalogue of over 100 falsehoods, distortions and inaccuracies uttered or written by the US President since taking office in January.” Running over several hours, these statements will be punctuated by brief text-based fact-checks, which Channel 4 said will “offer viewers the truth behind the tweets, speeches and soundbites.”

And watch the tariffs pile up against the UK.

The largely programme-specific idents – featuring a Trump impersonator – have been airing since early this morning.

The sequences lampoon the disconnection from the truth that has become one of the most talked about features of Trump’s presidency.

Those are some of the greatest bits of continuity since Julian Simmons on the UTV.

Comedy gold.
This is what FTA is for.
More of this is needed.

Give Channel 4’s social media intern a raise. Great marketing through these tweets.

A four-way merger? Freely 2.0? You could reasonably argue that the most natural consolidation would be a BBC–Channel 4 merger, with S4C in Wales serving as a test case. After all, S4C already relies heavily on BBC-produced content, and its news operation is effectively run by the BBC.

ITV plc, meanwhile, would almost inevitably need to absorb Channel 5 if further consolidation took place. That could mean expanding its portfolio by rebranding 5 and its subsidiary channels under the ITV umbrella, or else pursuing a ‘like-for-like’ multichannel merger. Alternatively, ITV could become the target: if Paramount–Skydance (or whatever it would be named assuming Ellison succeeds in acquiring Warner Bros. Discovery and rebrands the company yet again) purchase ITV plc and merge it directly with Channel 5.

70 years to the day since ITV launched. Special idents and breakbumpers have launched today.

STV is set to cut 60 jobs and axe its north of Scotland television news programme.

The broadcaster is seeking £2.5m of savings by next year, after announcing a £0.2m loss in the first six months of 2025.

It plans to replace its central belt and north of Scotland news with a single programme from Glasgow, with sections devoted to regional news.

Has anyone heard if any Australian networks have picked up the Forsythes which Debuts later this month in the UK? Very much a Bridgerton vibe and looks quite good.
