I like the reddish one better tbh.
And it has hints of maroon, so that’s why it is the main one.
I would have been shocked if there hadn’t been a hint of maroon in there somewhere.
The reception has been positive. Huge improvement to the current logos

No kidding, the Paralympian only (barely) has one artificial leg, the other one is part of the wheel

Huh? Cockatoos are extremely cheeky and like to interact with people, even the wild ones. There are heaps of them on my regular cycling route here in Brisbane and they love to have fun with the cyclists.

I like the Paralympic mascot concept simliar to Paris 2024’s popular Phyrges mascot and Milo from the recent Milano-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics
Mascots will be unveiled after the 2028 Olympics
Well, Brisbane’s one is better than any of those at least.
Still goes to show what a kickarse logo they designed for Sydney 2000. Still iconic. And Brisbane’s is so dull by comparison.
Yeah it’s just a little too corporate for my liking. The emblem itself is not bad but the font isn’t unique and doesn’t work.

To each their own but I think Sydney’s has dated. I still like it. I don’t think the Brisbane one is boring at all by comparison.
That’s a good point, the font feels very Times New Roman doesn’t it. A more interesting font might make that a really good logo.
That is surprisingly quite decent.
