They’re not like Prawn Cracker from a Chinese Restaurant made with tapioca starch. They’re potato chips.

I wonder why Smith’s Snackfoods are using the Lay’s branding though and not Smith’s Thinly Cut.

You can make your own prawn crackers at home - back in the day IIRC Coles did sell the prawn crackers that you put in hot oil and they cooked pretty much instantly.

It’s called Cadbury &More, with stock hitting supermarket shelves from today.

There are five flavours: Hazelnut Praline, Raspberry Cheesecake, Tiramisu Swirl, Caramel Crème Brulee, and Roasted Macadamia.

Each 195g block of Cadbury &More costs $9. A standard block of Cadbury chocolate weighs 180g and costs $8.

The day colesworth starts importing Chinese milk seems unbelievable but if people can’t get paid properly they can’t stay in production.

Hmmmmm…melamine and rat milk.

Google those.

Don’t forget cardboard in noodles, it’s cheaper than flour,:money_mouth_face:

Theyre imported

I thought that might be the case but I checked. They say Made In Australia on the pack.

Hmm interesting, the last lot I bought said they were imported

Actually right, some are imported , like the seaweed flavour chips from the Asian market are a different taste to the mainstream supermarket ones, perhaps whoever owns whatever are thinking about putting different flavours into the Australian market, which would be great.

Where did you buy them from? Some import their product even though you can buy them locally produced.

The logo being for the “new” General is the same as the former General company was using in 1976!

IKEA made headlines on April 1st after announcing a meatball-flavoured lollipop, inspired by the chain’s revered Swedish meatballs.

While the post was initially an April Fool’s joke, the furniture giant has now confirmed they are teaming up with beloved lollipop company Chupa Chups to actually bring the intriguing meat-flavoured treat to consumers.

The scrolling girl sign will stay at the location (651 Victoria Street, Abbotsford) until this weekend.

It’s also the old logo. Interesting strategy from PepsiCo.

Maybe they thought the flavour didn’t really match the Smiths Thinly Cut range? Being its own thing stands out more than a limited edition of another brand I guess. Or maybe they are testing the brand name again to eventually compete with Thins?

I did wonder whether they might replace Thinly Cut with the Lay’s brand. Being a multinational, they might not care about the Smiths Crisps/Chips legacy which is a shame.
