There’s a Gaytime Crunchy Nuts? Dear Lord.

I think a Crunchy Nut Corn Flakes version would work better with the standard Gaytime flavours than Froot Loops would.

Don’t they already have this?

Yes. I knew about the Crunchy Nut one and had seen it often. I hadn’t noticed the Froot Loops one until I saw it at Coles today which is why I asked the question. They seem to do a lot colabs.

Melbourne craft beer Smithy’s is the new sponsor of Victorian Football League for the 2022 season, replacing Peter Jackson menswear.

Don’t like it. Should not have an alcohol company as the naming rights sponsor.

You don’t like anything.

Better than a suit company that shared its name with a tobacco company.

I do thank you very much. I just don’t think that they should be promoting alcohol so nonchalantly.

We seem to be getting more and more brands of savoury biscuits or crackers on our supermarket shelves these days.

I tried these Arnott’s Sourdough Crisps Cheddar and Roasted Garlic. They’re marketed as upmarket crackers compared to Arnott’s Shapes and they really are moreish. I have to try other one now: Cracked Pepper and Thyme.

Very similar to their existing products called Cracker Chips. Looks like they updated these packs to match.

I saw a TV commercial on Arnott’s Cracker Chips the other night.

‘Stealthy’: Cadbury’s big Aussie change: Shrinkflation.

https://www.news.com.au/finance/money/costs/cadburys-stealthy-move-amid-inflation-crisis/news-story/61fe0fe74d5f2cd910ff854f6db08746

Since the 2000s, a Cadbury chocolate block has gone from 320g to 180g, representing a reduction of almost 44 per cent.

You would have to think their continuous moves here will have to come to an end at some stage, unless they go for zero, lol.

Cadbury always comes up with this and what’s 3g on a freddo if it keepa the overall price of a multi pack stable and satisfaction point the same.

As for the 320g block, weren’t they flogging 200g blocks here in the 80s with the tagline of “a glass and a half of full cream milk in every 200f block”? So not as big of a reduction as the article suggests.

250grams had that tagline IIRC, not 200.
Don’t know where they got 320 grams from.

This is the era I was thinking of, but 250 also rings a bell now you mention it.

Shadow Archive YT.

There was a time when the blocks were getting bigger. I remember them boasting 10% bigger. I can’t recall a Family Block being 320g but maybe they had something that was bigger than a Family Block as well. They currently have a massive 360g block.

I can remember Family Blocks being 250g. Maybe after a couple of 10% bigger promotions, boosting them to 220g and then 250g before they started shrinking.

This advert from the 90s shows a Family Block as 250g. In the ad they say that there is a glass and a half of full cream milk in ever 200 grams, rather than in every block.
