In the US the recipe for Coke Zero is changing plus the can.

Did they have a different recipe?
I thought Coke Zero/No Sugar was identical worldwide, with local water influencing the taste.

And the other difference in Coke (with sugar) was the use of corn syrup in the USA as opposed to cane sugar elsewhere.

That black on red looks really ugly. I think they made a mistake when they dropped the black can colour for Coke Zero. I also think it was mistake when they changed it to Coke No Sugar in Australia. People still call it Coke Zero.

Pepsi Max black looks so different to the Pepsi blue and the marketing works.

Different food standards would also change some ingredients I’d think - like particular colourings/sweeteners.

I’ve heard that Diet Coke tastes extremely different in the US than here.

Japanese Coca-Cola definitely tasted different to the Aussie one I’m used to.

The final set of ads competing for Nine Entertainment’s State of Originality contest were revealed last night. Brands featured include Arnott’s, Isuzu, Officeworks, Rebel, Sportsbet, Stan and Warner Bros.

The Australian public has also been given the opportunity to participate with 20 per cent of the voting going to votes cast via the Wide World of Sports website. Entries are open via stateoforiginality.wwos.nine.com.au till Friday July 16 midnight.

Steady on. You might have to move this discussion to Media Spy After Dark. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

McDonald’s has won the inaugural State of Originality advertising competition, organised by Nine Entertainment. The competition will return in 2022.

In a way that’s a pity. That tiny packaging was perfect for my small Surry Hills apartment.

And so much easier to carry home.

New World in NZ had a similar concept that was launched in 2017, if I can remember correctly. In 2019, however, they replaced it with collecting seed packs under the Little Garden banner. Kinda lame to hear but if it reduces plastic then I’m all for it.

Woolworths has had the seeds twice in Australia. They were popular too. Olympic Athlete stickers at the moment.

I suspect the last series wasn’t as popular as previous and they’ve decided to move onto a different promotional vehicle rather than not doing it to “reduce waste”.

Agreed. Like all crazes, Little Shop was always going to burn brightly for a short time before inevitably fizzling out.

I can guarantee that if they were brought back tomorrow, people would be going nuts for them again.

Coles has simply opted to not go forward with it.

Another new Tim Tam flavour. I’ve never heard of a Banoffee Pie before. Apparently it’s a banana toffee flavour.

Banoffee pie is very indulgent. But yum. I feel all the Tim Tam flavours taste the same.
