Bondi Vet

I knew Bondi Vet was being shown overseas but who knew that it’s won an award from the US Parents’ Choice Association (whoever that is)

Dr Chris wins prestigious US parents’ choice award two years in a row

Fred Media is proud to announce that Bondi Vet, (known in the US as Dr Chris: Pet Vet) has been given the US Parents’ Choice Foundation ‘Seal of Approval’ award for the second year in a row.

This is a significant boost for the show, currently screening on the CBS network in the US. The Parents’ Choice Foundation is the US’ oldest not-for-profit consumer organisation dedicated to quality children’s media.

Michael Aldrich, general manager of Fred Media, says the awards are highly regarded by the US networks. “They’re influential awards among the major networks, who are very focused on parents’ views, particularly in Dr Chris’ time slot.”

This is the second year in a row that Dr Chris: Pet Vet has been recognised with a seal of approval award. “I’d like to thank Litton Entertainment, our production partners in the US, as well as CBS, for their support in promoting the series,” Mike says.

The Parents’ Choice Approved Seals are given on the basis of the production, entertainment and human values they exemplify. This seal indicates a wholesome product that helps children enjoy developing physical, emotional, social or academic skills.

Litton Entertainment CEO Dave Morgan says it’s a special honour to be recognised by the Foundation. “These accolates are a tribute to our dedicated and passionate team of producers and talent,” he says. “They consistently produce the highest quality programs for America’s youth and their families.”

Bondi Vet, produced by WTFN Entertainment, has just commenced its eighth season on both Discovery UK and Network Ten Australia. Dr Chris: Pet Vet is currently showing season 3 on CBS

Producers at WTFN are looking for a new vet to replace Dr. Chris Brown on Bondi Vet for Ten. Meanwhile, a new show Dr Lisa to the Rescue featuring Bondi Vet co-star Lisa Chimes will air on Nine in July.

@JBar Dr Lisa to the Rescue is not a new show,it aired on Nine last year.July must be the start of the second season.

Thanks @Salty. This is the first I I’ve heard of it.

So the show is set to continue with a new vet.

New Bondi Vet line up announced

The producers of the hit program, Bondi Vet, have revealed TV’s newest vet stars, following a nationwide search.

After thousands of nominations and tens of thousands of votes, the show’s creator, WTFN Entertainment has announced that the job will be shared by four vets.

Dr Alex Hynes (Queensland), Dr Danni Dusek (Victoria), Dr Lewis Hunt (New South Wales) and the winner of the public vote, Dr Peter Ricci of Western Australia are officially the new Bondi Vets, as announced at a special launch event at the iconic Bondi Icebergs Club today.

“After an exhaustive search process and extensive camera testing of the final four, it was impossible to single out any one candidate,” said WTFN’s Director of Content, Steve Oemcke.

“Each of the four new Bondi Vets has a unique skill set and story to tell,’’ Mr Oemcke said.

“Their love for pets and animals shines through and there is a great chemistry between them.

“Their work in front of the camera has been outstanding, and we know that fans will really get behind them as they take the show in an exciting new direction,’’ he said.

Mr Oemcke said a number of media organisations were vying for the new-look Bondi Vet which would continue to be distributed to more than 180 countries around the world.

Bondi Vet heading to 9 next year.

Did the new version ever screen on Ten?

No, it will be the first time Bondi Vet will be on Nine.

No, the new hosts were announced in October last year but the search for new hosts went for some time before that. It hasn’t been on air (new episodes) for some time now.

Good to see they’re getting onto fixing their Fridays, this should rate, refreshed too. Now they could look at Saturdays?

I truly believe these two nights are a major factor across a survey for Nine, in terms of losing total people to Seven.

I wonder where it will be scheduled in NSW, Qld and NT, assuming it airs during the NRL season?

Easy, Saturdays?

BONDI VET HAS A NEW HOME ON NINE

Bondi Vet: Coast to Coast takes viewers on an amazing journey of care and commitment by animal lovers when the popular program comes to Nine in 2019.

Bondi Vet: Coast to Coast follows the adventures of Alex Hynes, Danni Dusek, Lewis Hunt and Peter Ricci, for a unique insight into the heartwarming, heartbreaking and rewarding world of four special vets dedicated to caring for animals every day.

From coast to coast, our vets face many challenges, and while all being very different people, they share the same passion for animals.

Dr Alex Hynes is an emergency veterinarian who is always in the thick of the action at Brisbane’s Animal Emergency Service. When she is not saving lives in the emergency room, she is pursuing her other passion in life, health and fitness.

Dr Peter Ricci, the Perth-based veterinarian, lives and breathes animals as he works around the clock, at the emergency hospital at Murdoch University and Perth Zoo, as well as looking after his own menagerie of animals at home.

In Sydney, we follow Dr Lewis Hunt, who was destined to be a vet – he is the son of one. He runs his practice on the Northern Beaches, adored by clients for his warmth and the wholehearted approach to his work.

Our fourth vet, Dr Danni Dusek in Melbourne, is the new darling of the series, with her emotional and candid approach to the job and her clients. With such passion for animals, Dr Danni is loved by all.

Joining the team will also be the tenacious Dr Kate Adams. No ordinary veterinarian, she runs the ever busy Bondi Vet Hospital and works tirelessly to ensure pets and other animals always get the treatment they require.

Together these amazing veterinarians will embark on unforgettable adventures around Australia as they meet the “patients” who need them – and the owners that love them.

Bondi Vet: Coast to Coast will premiere in 2019. The program is produced by WTFN for Nine.

Is this the replacement for the failing Vet on the Hill?

Well, Vet on the Hill is pretty much a Bondi Vet rip-off made for More 4 in the UK, with an Aussie vet in the outskirts of London.

Dr Kate Adams from the new series was on Hughesy We Have A Problem Tonight giving advice about Dave’s dog, he plugged the new Bondi Vet show twice.

But it’s on Nine now. :open_mouth:
