Nine’s coverage has become a bit repetitive - have seen a few eyewitness interviews being repeated several times over the last hour and a bit.
When asked to describe the offender, after saying she saw him close up, she said “he was white”
rolling coverage on 7 and 9 and 10 has Ready Steady Cook on.
Yes the questioning was poor and she didn’t understand.
Meanwhile… lulu lemon woman was also featured with a picture and all on the SMH live blog.
A good sign its time to stop - I doubt we’ll learn anything new tonight
They continued live coverage through to 6:30pm. Unfortunately they didn’t have reporters or news gathering resources on weekends to do more.
They could’ve aired the Perth local bulletin nationwide at 7pm but they won’t.
7 and 9 are now repeating many of their interviews. There’s no new info.
I think only one more confirmation of a deceased person.
To be fair, 10 ran an extra 30 minutes of news tonight that was entirely devoted to the story.
Seven Adelaide now returning to incident after the first break, included highlights from the press conference.
Now back to other news.
Yeah, probably not a lot to say that they didn’t say at 6:30. If it were still daylight savings with a three hour difference, it would have made more sense.
This is only happening on 7 and 9 Sydney. All other stations have now reverted to normal schedule.
There is no need for rolling coverage now. This should have stopped after the press conference.
I think 7 and 9 Brisbane did the right thing by airing Brisbane news and then providing updates throughout the news about this Sydney event - allowed them to give updates on facts that came from the press conference and some interviews with people, but not repeating the same things over and over when there’s not a lot of new information to actually provide. We don’t want to ignore this tragic Sydney event but things did happen in Brisbane today that we also should find out about, so it strikes the right balance I think.
7 has footy i guess. Imagine they’ll stay on air in Sydney.
ABC News channel coverage is really dragging as well.
ABC has decided not to show pictures and footage of the dead body of the perpetrator.
What happens on 9 in Melbourne and Brisbane now?

ABC has decided not to show pictures and footage of the dead body of the perpetrator.
cheers for the bare fucking minimum, but it says a bit about news.com.au et al.
Seven off to AFL, Nine back to rolling coverage in Melbourne/Victoria.
