So Sydney and Melbourne (and I assume Adelaide) will have extended bulletins. Brisbane and Perth will have the normal 6pm bulletins due to time difference, following the Day of Reflection ceremony, and will get Christmas with Delta at 7pm as scheduled.
So to recap: ABC going past 8.30 AEDT on NC. 9 delays primetime. 7 remains silent on runtime.
SBS could theoretically take this live due to airtime convenience.
Currently 10 is the only one that hasn’t planned coverage. Trying to be comfort food for some again?
The pushback only applies to Sydney/Melbourne, but they did not make that distinction.
Promos were from Sydney. Melbourne is the same.
They probably didn’t have time to update the promos but they text saying the updated times if they don’t redo the whole promo
ABC coverage on the main channel will be replacing local news bulletins in all states and territories except NT and WA.
That ticker caption somewhat unnecessarily specific.
ABC News Channel coverage (i.e. when Greg and Ros is mentioned as hosting) is underway through 8.36pm AEDT.
I see ABC wheeled out some experiance presenters. Ros Childs & Michael Rowland. Better than them using their regular Weekend presenter (who oddly never presents the weekend bulletins but pops up filling in through out the week
)
They don’t have specific weekend presenters anymore (at least for weekend afternoons)
Apologies if this question is silly or has been asked before, but I wonder how the TV networks would each mark the minute of silence?
Given the majority of main channels are broadcasting the service, those channels will be taking the minutes silence.
I presume Seven and SBS will cross to Bondi at around 6:47pm as well.
ABC running a national bulletin at 6pm, hosted by Lydia Feng from the Paramatta studios - will cross to the ceremony at 6:30pm.
good question is the minute silence is local time for your state or time around Australia at the same time as 6:17 in Adelaide etc
6:47 is when the sport reports are on too i guess they change order around tonight
7news Melb had sport at 6:35pm today
ABC Radio simulcasting the ABC TV audio including News Radio and RN. 4BC has Healthy Living.
