Anything on Seven? Or is it The Ashes
Canât you turn on the TV or check the app?
You think theyâre going to interrupt the Ashes for this? The odds gotta be like one in a bazillion.
I didnât check but did Seven live stream this at all on their other platforms?
I just saw this at the start of the lunch break on Fox Cricket
With the content produced on the Kyle and Jackie O radio show not sure how much credibility Kyle adds to this.
I found this video on TikTok and it confuses me why does Ray Hadley blames the PM for what happened at Bondi. He appeared on Sky News on location at Bondi beach.
The irony.
Because itâs the in thing to do? As soon as it happened, everyone blames Albo, or Labor, or anyone who isnât a RWNJ. Thatâs a Sky thing to do.
They have been playing it quite a lot after the Bondi attacks on both Nine and Seven. As long as they donât put it as a pre roll ad at the start of the stream like what Seven did maybe 6 months back so at the start of every ad break that ad would play. Is it is an important cause but itâs a bit much having it playing that frequently.
He should just permanently retire it is not Albos fault. The opposition should not be politising this
Oh, I thought it was something new during a sporting match like the anti-DV video played at the NRL/AFL grand finals.
Iâve seen that ad a number of times before the Bondi shooting.
Itâs been on high rotation on 97.3 KIIS in Brisbane too.
Yep, been running for weeks now, nightly news even ran pieces on it going to air. Saw it again just in passing on a Nine m/c and thought I had the wrong channel for a moment when Johanna Griggs appeared, then realised what ad it was.
Sevenâs full coverage of the events on Sunday night: https://youtu.be/j68rSe04FTU?si=FcCJTPqmXi5hKU8G
After an intense week of coverage, I believe the Australian free-to-air networks deserve commendation for delivering some of the most exceptional news coverage Iâve witnessed in Australia. From the moment breaking news was reported, to extended bulletins and modified schedules, the professionalism exhibited by both the on-air teams and behind-the-scenes crews has been exemplary.
Initially it helped that the event took place not far from network news headquarters, but the Sunday night timing initially posed a challenge. However, it wasnât long before reporters from all networks were on the scene, providing comprehensive coverage.
We often ask the question of whether rolling coverage is necessary and when does the point come that there is nothing new to report. With so many different elements to this tragic event I can only recall a few occasions that might have been the case.
From a technical perspective, the coverage was near flawless. There was a minor issue with overloaded mobile services causing some degradation in picture quality, though itâs likely that the average viewer did not notice any significant disruption.
While each network presented a few exclusive pieces of footage, the overall difference in the information shared was minimal. This, in my opinion, is where the coverage truly excelledâaccuracy. There was very little speculation, and the focus remained squarely on delivering factual news without personal commentary or bias.
This helped demonstrate that Australia must have one of the best selection of FTA news services in the world. Imagine the same event unfolding in some other countries.
Note Iâve excluded Sky News coverage from these comments.
@TV.Cynic Spot on. Well done to all networks. ![]()

And itâs clear by the ratings, when important news unfolds, viewers still turn to FTA television in Australia. It still plays such an important role in our lives and society.
