Bondi Beach Shooting

Can’t help but notice the irony in the initial EPG Nine put together.

Of course the news never goes out on multichannels so the movie aired as normal.

I’m not watching Sky. But blame needs to be pointed somewhere for this terrifying human behaviour. Who are Sky Blaming?

And in your opinion - what is the problem?

Gotta give it to them, they somehow managed to After Dark this in no time.

Kellie’s media experience came into play quick smart.

Chris Bath demonstrated why experience is invaluable. She was exceptional tonight.

Seven is live to all, Nine (at least as far as I can tell by the streams) is either keeping WA in delay or not going live there untill 5am Western, running teleshopping now, but are live elsewhere.

The usual bolder ‘cover up clock’ being used by 7 in Brisbane when it switches to a national feed.

But ironically, back in the 2022 Floods. Sharon Ghidella presented rolling coverage from BTQ.

Which is why it makes no sense for throwing the coverage Musher. He way have handled rolling coverage great back 2017. But in 2025, Musher isn’t that good. Don’t understand the hype over him. Mark did a better job than Michael doing the rolling coverage. Held it together fantastically.. while Musher kept stumbling

Seven broke into programming around 19.30, with Ferguson at the helm

ABC joined a few minutes later

Nine joined fairly late, with Georgie Gardiner at the helm

10 finally began rolling coverage, with Chris Bath at the helm

At around 8.45, Michael Usher takes over from Mark Ferguson, handling the coverage

Nine is still “live AEDT only” as usual.

Today Extra will still air but its opposition will be Sunrise.

ABC Melbourne fill in breakfast host Warwick Long had a 9 minute live chat with Sydney mornings presenter Hamish MacDonald live from Bondi this morning. Hamish said he had also talked to ABC Adelaide and British television earlier about the aftermath of last night’s attack.

Surprised no one mentioned the total disaster on the ABC’s 7pm WA news last night. Live cross to Nick Dole in Sydney for the shooting failed and they had to cut to footage without any audio.

42 injuries now. That makes it a total of 58 victims.

That’s on par with Port Arthur.

Albanese’s morning press conference had started. It’s live on ABC News Radio.

NSW Police Commissioner Mal Lanyon confirmed there were two attackers: father and son. Father had a valid firearms licence (he owned six firearms) and had died, while his son is still in a critical condition. Operation Shelter has commenced.

NSW Ambulance said 14 people died at the scene, and another two passed away in hospital.

Journalists questions at Australian press conferences are so disorderly and chaotic, all shouting their questions at the same time.

Who’s linking the microphone to the Journalist during the press conference?
