FINAL CAST REVEALED FOR NEW BINGE ORIGINAL SERIES

HIGH COUNTRY

Further cast have been revealed to star in the upcoming Original mystery thriller series HIGH COUNTRY alongside acclaimed actress Leah Purcell AM (Wentworth, Drover’s Wife: The Legend of Molly Johnson), international star Ian McElhinney (Game of Thrones, Derry Girls), and celebrated actors Sara Wiseman (Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, A Place to Call Home) and Aaron Pedersen (Mystery Road, Jack Irish).

Joining the cast are Linda Cropper (Offspring, Pine Gap), Henry Nixon (The Secrets She Keeps, The Kettering Incident), Luke McKenzie (Wentworth, The Flip Side), Matt Domingo (In Our Blood, Love by the Glass), Geoff Morell (The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, Top Of The Lake), newcomer Pez Warner, Pedrea Jackson (Crazy Fun Park , Sweet As), Leah Vandenberg (Wellmania, Savage River), Nathaniel Dean (Anzac Girls, Puberty Blues), Jamie Timony (Click Bait, Wild Boys), Annie Chiswell (Friends - The Musical Parody), Travis McMahon (Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries, Rams), Nicholas Bell (Bay of Fires, Elvis), Trisha Morton-Thomas (Total Control, Redfern Now) and Shannon Berry (The Wilds, Offspring).

Acclaimed director Kevin Carlin (Wentworth, Miss Fisher’s Modern Murder Mysteries) has joined the production as Establishing Director, taking the helm for five of the episodes, with Beck Cole (We Are Still Here, Deadloch) slated to script one episode and direct three.

HIGH COUNTRY is an 8-part mystery thriller that revolves around detective Andrea (Andie) Whitford (Leah Purcell), who is transferred to the Victorian High Country and thrust into a baffling mystery of five missing persons who have vanished into the wilderness. Through an edge-of-the-seat, high-stakes investigation, Andie uncovers a complex web involving murder, deceit, and revenge.

PREMIERES 21 MAY ON BINGE

New comedy series Animal Control, starring Emmy® Award nominee Joel McHale (Community) and created by Bob Fisher (Wedding Crashers), Rob Greenberg (The Moodys US), and Dan Sterling (The Interview), will premiere 21 May on BINGE, with all episodes dropping at once.

Adding to a bumper month of new content coming to BINGE in May, the twelve-episode single-camera comedy produced by FOX Entertainment Studios follows a group of local animal control workers whose lives are complicated by the fact that animals are simple, but humans are not.

Leading the crew is Frank (McHale), an opinionated, eccentric animal control officer who may not have gone to college but is still the most well-read person in the room. In his past life as a cop, Frank tried to expose corruption in his department, but his efforts got him fired, leaving him cynical and curmudgeonly. Despite his rough exterior, he is blessed with an almost superhuman ability to understand animals.

Joining McHale is Vella Lovell (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend), Ravi Patel (Meet the Patels) and New Zealand actress Grace Palmer (Home and Away, Shortland Street).Produced by FOX Entertainment Studios, Animal Control is executive-produced by Bob Fisher (Wedding Crashers, Sirens, The Moodys US), Rob Greenberg (Frasier, How I Met Your Mother, The Moodys US), Dan Sterling (Long Shot, The Interview, Girls, The Office, King of the Hill), Tad Quill (Scrubs, The Moodys US) and Joel McHale. S.W.A.T. uncancelled

Amy Reisenbach, President of CBS Entertainment, and Katherine Pope, President of Sony Pictures Television Studios, said in a statement, “We have listened to our viewers and their outpouring of passion for S.W.A.T. and we have reached an agreement to renew it for a final season of 13 episodes to air during the 2023-2024 broadcast year. S.W.A.T. has aired for six seasons on CBS and garnered a devoted following. We are pleased that we found a way to bring it back and give closure to the show’s storylines and characters, which audiences deserve. Once again, we appreciate the talents and efforts of the cast, writers, producers and crew and everyone who has contributed to the success of S.W.A.T. We look forward to its return next season.”

ABBIE CHATFIELD AND CAST OF FBOY ISLAND AUSTRALIA TO ATTEND LAUNCH EVENT

To celebrate the launch of new BINGE reality series FBOY Island Australia, host Abbie Chatfield will walk the red carpet at the launch event in Sydney on Thursday May 25.

Joining Abbie be the three ladies looking for love this season, 26-year-old occupational therapist Molly O’Halloran, 26-year-old professional DJ Sophie Blackley and 21-year-old model Ziara Rae as well as a number of local celebrities and media personalities.

The 10-episode reality series hosted by radio host and reality star Abbie Chatfield will follow three Australian women as they navigate the dating pool together to uncover who are the self-proclaimed “nice guys” looking for love, and who are the self-proclaimed “FBoys” only there to play the game and take home the cash prize. The first look trailer and key art for the new dark comedic thriller Based on a True Story, starring Kaley Cuoco and Chris Messina, have been released ahead of its 8 June premiere on BINGE, with all episodes releasing at once.

The eight-episode series is about a realtor, a former tennis star and a plumber who seize a unique opportunity to capitalise on America’s obsession with true crime.

In addition to Cuoco and Messina, the series also stars Tom Bateman, Priscilla Quintana, Liana Liberato, Natalia Dyer, Alex Alomar Akpobome, Aisha Alfa, Annabelle Dexter-Jones and Li Jun Li.

Craig Rosenberg (The Boys, Gen V) serves as creator, writer, showrunner, and executive producer of the series. Once Succession is over am thinking of giving Binge a rest for a few months. It’s been a great service but good content is harder to find of late. I actually think Paramount+ has more on offer currently. Anyone else feeling like this?

The premiere date of 13 July along with the official teaser for the upcoming limited series Full Circle, starring Claire Danes and Dennis Quaid, has been released ahead of its two-episode premiere on BINGE; two new episodes drop every Thursday.

The six-episode series follows an investigation into a botched kidnapping that uncovers long-held secrets connecting multiple characters and cultures in present day New York City.

In addition to Danes and Quaid, the cast includes Zazie Beetz, Jim Gaffigan, Jharrel Jerome, Timothy Olyphant, CCH Pounder, Phaldut Sharma, Adia, Sheyi Cole, Gerald Jones, Suzanne Savoy, Ethan Stoddard and Lucian Zanes.
