RESERVATION DOGS

FROM TAIKA WAITITI AND STERLIN HARJO

RETURNS FOR A SECOND SEASON 4 AUGUST ON BINGE

The comedy series Reservation Dogs from co-creators and executive producers Taika Waititi and Sterlin Harjo, returns for its second season with a double episode premiere 4 August on BINGE.

Reservation Dogs is a half-hour comedy that follows the exploits of “Elora Danan” (Devery Jacobs), “Bear Smallhill” (D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai), “Willie Jack” (Paulina Alexis) and “Cheese” (Lane Factor), four Indigenous teenagers in rural Oklahoma. After the death of the fifth member of the Reservation Dogs, the crew took to stealing, scheming and saving in order to vicariously fulfil his dream of reaching the exotic, mysterious and faraway land of California. But after a promising start to their criminal endeavours, including the legendary heist of a Flaming Flamers chips truck, swiping some old lady’s weed edibles and some low-grade grand theft auto, the plan went bust. The gang disbanded, with everyone trying to forge their own paths.

Lucky for the kids, they have the support of their loving and eccentric community of aunties and uncles to see them through, including Bear’s mother “Rita” (Sarah Podemski), local law enforcement “Big” (Zahn McClarnon), Elora’s “Uncle Brownie” (Gary Farmer), Willie Jack’s parents “Dana” (Jennifer Podemski) and “Leon” (Jon Proudstar) and “Spirit” aka “William Knifeman” (Dallas Goldtooth).

Filmed on location in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, Reservation Dogs is a breakthrough in Indigenous representation on television, both in front of and behind the camera. Every writer, director and series regular on the show is Indigenous. This first-of-its-kind creative team tells a story that resonates with them and their lived experiences.

Ahead of the Season 2 premiere, viewers can catch up on the first season of Reservation Dogs available to stream now on BINGE.

Reservation Dogs is executive produced by Sterlin Harjo (11/8/16, Barking Water, Four Sheets to the Wind), Taika Waititi (What We Do in the Shadows, Jojo Rabbit, Thor: Ragnarok) and Garrett Basch (What We Do in the Shadows, The Night Of) and produced by FX Productions.

The official trailer for season 2 was released overnight.

PREMIERES 12 AUGUST EXPRESS FROM THE U.S. ON BINGE

First look teaser has been released for the new Alone spin-off series Alone: Frozen, streaming express from the U.S. at 7.30pm AEST on Friday 12 August on BINGE, with new episodes dropping every Friday.

In the new spin-off series, six of Alone’s strongest participants from past seasons return to put their survival skills to the test for a second time. Dropped off on the frigid North Atlantic Coast of Labrador, Canada just as winter is setting in, and battling howling winds, constant rain, and North America’s most fierce cold-weather predators, survivalists will set out to last fifty days in a location with the densest population of Polar Bears in the United States and face extreme conditions worse than any previous season of Alone. With just a few supplies and their previous experiences to learn from, the survivalists who go the distance will win their share of the $500,000 USD cash prize.

Returning survivalists of Alone: Frozen include fan favorites Greg Ovens (Season 3), Woniya Thibeault (Season 6), Callie Russell (Season 7), Mark D’Ambrosio (Season 7), Amós Rodriguez (Season 7) and Michelle Finn (Season 8).

In addition, from 5 August fans will also be able to stream another new Alone spin-off series Alone: The Skills Challenge, which focuses on three former participants as they go head-to-head to complete incredible bushcraft builds using only basic tools and the natural resources around them. Their goal: to prove who has the ingenuity, experience and wilderness skills to craft the most unbelievable survival build. From elevated shelters to hand-crafted ovens to watercraft, participants will give their all to amaze former Alone participants who will judge the builds. Just like Alone, challengers will self-document their experience but this time on their home terrain.

Ahead of the new spin-off series, fans can stream every episode of every season of Alone on BINGE.

Alone is produced for The HISTORY® Channel by Leftfield Pictures (an ITV America company). Shawn Witt, Ryan Pender and Dan Bree serve as executive producers for Leftfield Pictures. Zachary G. Behr serves as executive producer for The HISTORY® Channel.

Does anyone know why the latest This Week Tonight episode (Monkeypox) hasn’t made it onto Binge yet?

Edit: It appeared last night. It doesn’t usually take two days.

PRETTY LITTLE LIARS: ORIGINAL SIN

RENEWED FOR SECOND SEASON ON BINGE

BINGE today announced the new coming-of-age, horror-tinged drama series Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin has been renewed for a second season.

Executive produced and written by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (Riverdale, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina) and co-executive produced and written by Lindsay Calhoon Bring (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina), this dark take on the teen melodrama introduces a new generation of Liars who are tormented by A – a masked killer hellbent on punishing them for the sins of their mothers, as well as their own.

Twenty years ago, a series of tragic events almost ripped the blue-collar town of Millwood apart. Now, in present day, a disparate group of teen girls — a brand-new set of Little Liars — find themselves tormented by an unknown Assailant and made to pay for the secret sin committed by their parents two decades ago…as well as their own. In the dark, coming-of-age, horror-tinged drama Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin, we find ourselves miles away from Rosewood, but within the existing Pretty Little Liars universe — in a brand-new town, with a new generation of Little Liars.

Season one cast includes Bailee Madison, Chandler Kinney, Zaria, Malia Pyles, and Maia Reficco as our new generation of Liars. The series also stars Mallory Bechtel, Sharon Leal, Elena Goode, Lea Salonga, Eric Johnson, and Alex Aiono.

Fans can enjoy the full collection of the original series Pretty Little Liars and every episode of Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin Season 1 streaming now on BINGE.

The series is produced by Aguirre-Sacasa’s Muckle Man Productions and Alloy Entertainment (Gossip Girl, Pretty Little Liars, The Vampire Diaries, You) in association with Warner Bros. Television. I. Marlene King (who developed the original Pretty Little Liars), Michael Grassi, Caroline Baron, and Alloy’s Leslie Morgenstein and Gina Girolamo are also executive producers of the series, which is based upon the bestselling series of books by Sara Shepard, published by Alloy Entertainment.

Season 1 already stretched the story incredibly thin. Not sure if I’ll watch season 2.

Stars of Million Dollar Listing: Los Angeles, Josh Flagg, Josh Altman and Matt Altman, were guests of Binge at an event in Sydney last night.
