I see Binge has 217,000 subscribers. 185,000 are paying subscribers. Not too bad for a new service.
Probably looking at around $3 million in revenue since launch?
Not too bad.
Even though I loved Binge for the great price on getting some Foxtel channels, I gave up the fight today and canceled my subscription. Every second day for the last couple of weeks I have had glitches with it.
Probably the adding of subtitles to some shows on the platform finally has the service unable to cope
Not surprised given my previous experience with Foxtel Now with lots of buffering and it’s a Foxtel issue not my internet service provider’s.
BINGE NOW AVAILABLE ON SAMSUNG TVS
BINGE , home to the world’s best shows, is now available to watch on the latest Samsung supported TVs from today (Friday 13 November).
This follows recent product enhancements including the addition of Closed Captions.
BINGE Executive Director, Alison Hurbert-Burns, said: “Since launching in May this year, BINGE has been entertaining customers with the world’s best shows including drama, comedy, movies and more.
“Today’s announcement is part of a comprehensive features roadmap to continually improve the viewing experience, and to enable more Australians to enjoy BINGE’s incredible content.
“For entertainment lovers with a Samsung TV, we’re excited for them to be able to access BINGE and the world’s best shows like The Undoing, Euphoria, The Walking Dead and upcoming series The Flight Attendant.
“And I’m thrilled that we now offer Closed Captions on a huge range of our content with the team adding more and more titles every day,” Hurbert-Burns said.
Director of Audio Visual, Samsung Electronics Australia, Hass Mahdi, said: “Samsung is committed to offering more choice and experiences via the Smart TV platform. The way we are utilising our TVs has changed and it’s important that we continue to grow our content offering. We hope our customers enjoy being able to revel in the comprehensive entertainment programming offered by BINGE .”
BINGE is now available on all 2017-2020 Samsung TV models.
Very laggy.
Finally, but laggy and slow.
Same as Binge on every other platform
A massive portrait of Nicole Kidman was unveiled at Darlinghurst in Sydney today to promote her drama The Undoing. It can be seen on the wall of Top of the Town apartment complex, on the corner of Craigend Street and Victoria Street, for the next three days only.
It doesn’t really look like her though.
Would Young Sheldon be exclusive to Binge or could another streaming service like Stan also pick up rights?
Nicole Kidman visited the Darlinghurst apartment to see her massive portrait yesterday and shared the happy snap to her millions of followers on social media.
She was photographed next to the “poo on sticks” sculpture which is just a coincidence not a comment on the mural.
BINGE ON AND ON WITH BINGE x SODA SHADES BLUE LIGHT GLASSES
- THE SELL-OUT SODA SHADES BLUE LIGHT GLASSES IN A BRAND NEW BINGE COLOURWAY, TO HELP YOU BINGE IN COMFORT AND STYLE
BINGE, home to the world’s best shows and movies, has teamed up with fashion-forward sunglasses brand SODA Shades to release a limited edition line of blue light glasses, to ensure Aussie streamers can binge on and on and on in style.
The range, which features three pairs of SODA Shades’ sell-out Franklin style blue light glasses in BINGE blue, purple and red, is available to purchase today via sodashades.com.
The BINGE x SODA Shades blue light glasses aim to improve eye comfort and focus by reducing the blue light that naturally comes off your viewing device, meaning you can binge on your favourite shows in greater comfort and style.
SODA Shades co-founder and social media influencer, Steph Miller said: “Since launching our blue lights they have quickly become one of our biggest sellers, so teaming up with BINGE to release these awesome new colourways just seemed like the perfect partnership.
“I’m the first to admit I’m a massive streamer and I think everyone has those days where all they want to do is binge-watch their favourite show. These glasses block the blue light coming off screens, so help keep your eyes just as fresh and focused at the end of a streaming marathon as they were at the start. I’m all about anything that will make binge-watching Friends episodes even better than it already is!”
BINGE Executive Director, Alison Hurbert-Burns added: “As the home to the world’s best shows for just $10 a month, BINGE offers unturnoffable entertainment and a great viewing experience. That’s why we launched Inactivewear earlier this year, and this partnership, with a forward-thinking brand like SODA Shades, seemed like the natural fit. The BINGE x SODA Shades range is the perfect accessory for your next movie marathon.”
The BINGE x SODA Shades blue light glasses are available in blue, purple and red for $79. The range is available now via sodashades.com and are available until stocks last.
Today is the last chance to see the Nicole Kidman and Hugh Grant portrait before it is painted over tomorrow.
A lot of effort for just a few days. I would’ve liked to have seen it but didn’t get a chance to get out there.
How many paying subscribers does Binge have?
