Love that they’re advertising “buzzworthy housemates” yet they haven’t even closed casting yet.

They’ll be buzzworthy in the way that you’ll want them to buzz off your screens.

The Sun called it a “shock new twist” while I just think it’s the equivalent of ITV trying nothing and is all out of ideas.
Don’t be surprised if 10 does the same here.

What we need is a UK/ Australian crossover Big Brother. Run them both at the same time. Walls of the house are all video screens and both casts are able to virtually interact with each other. Logistically, the airtime could be a challenge but make it 24/7 and really twist things up with no normal time of day in both houses. Make the challenges virtual to encourage interaction via the video walls.
The 1st show would have housemates enter 1 by 1 and see these video walls and start interacting with people from the other side of the world.
A further twist, when an Australian housemate gets evicted put them on a plane and send them over to the UK as an intruder… and do the same with the UK housemates.

This could be a fascinating idea for a challenge week! But continuously through both shows might risk going stale quickly, or distracting from each local version.

They didn’t have the budget for a roof - they won’t have the budget for a flight across the world!
Sadly the days of Big Brother being relevant enough to do such a twist are long gone. Of last years HMs I can’t think of a single Aussie one who I’d want to see on BBUK or vice versa. I think also partly due to social media and also the globalisation of the television industry the novelty of it isn’t what it was 20 years ago - it wouldn’t really work with Aussie/UK HMs. Might be more interesting with the Philippines for example.
No need for any far out gimmicks. Just get the stage fixed up as you stated witha roof. Make sure the laundry isn’t the star all day! And let Mel chat a little more with evictees. Just give us the core BB.

Does he voice BB - I thought he didn’t for BB25?
Wonder if he’s back for BB26 if he’s there…

Big Brother Begins Bris-Vegas Build.
New Housemates, New Hijinks, And A Whole New Home.
The papers are signed, the boxes are packed, and the fishbowl is bubble-wrapped. It’s official, Big Brother is moving to Brisbane.
Big Brother is on the hunt for a fresh batch of housemates, but he needs a new house to fit all that main character energy under one roof. Speaking of roofs… Big Brother might even add an awning or two.
Big Brother host, Mel Tracina, said: “Does anyone have some spare boxes and a van we can borrow? ‘Cause Big Brother is relocating from the sunny Gold Coast to hot Bris-Vegas. It’s a new location, with a new house, filled with new housemates but don’t worry – it’s still the same old scheming Big Brother in charge. Oh, and I’ve been told I can leave the poncho at home. Bring on Big Brother 2026!”
Construction is officially underway at Screen Queensland Studios in Hemmant. The studios have been home to Aussie classics like Boy Swallows Universe, but they’ve never seen drama this unfiltered, this unscripted, and this unmissable. Expect a return to live evictions, live nominations, and live streaming, plus an even longer run to get totally hooked.
When it comes to the vision board, Big Brother’s tastes are a little… unconventional. His house must have gossip nooks, a diary room, “mad tuna storage”, and most importantly – unfiltered access, 24 hours a day. Queensland tradies, are you up for the task?
“The housemates will soon learn that what happens in Bris-Vegas most certainly does not stay in Bris-Vegas,” said Big Brother.
Casting applications close on August 31, so if you don’t do boring, have zero filter, and covet chaos, head to https://10.com.au/casting to apply.
If you thought you knew Big Brother, prepare to have trust issues – because this is just the start of him pulling the rug.
BNE, are you ready for our BBE**?

Hell yeah - two suburbs over from me!

So will it be in a studio, not a house?
The channel Nine seasons were the last to really be set in a “house.”
Neither the UK or US versions are in a house. They are all done in studio type setups these days.
