Think the writer doesn’t understand the word “renewed”.
Fantastic news if true! A 20 minute drive or 25 minute train ride for me.
Might be the first time Hemmant Station gets decent patronage…
I still think this eye design is night and day better than what last year pivoted to.
If Ten are determined for big brother to be one of their major tentpoles again then they should acquire some of the international versions for their streaming platforms and make a big deal of them like they do with the traitors. They certainly have gone all in on the traitors one in fact, the opportunity also is there for BB.
And in my opinion rather than just making them a 10 play run, they should be airing these reality shows on one of their multi channels at night instead of the shit they are currently airing.
They could even in effect go all in on MasterChef as well or do something similar with their other franchises like ninja Warrior or amazing race/masked Singer if they ever get them back
They have 10 Drama & 10 Comedy, why not 10 Reality? Plenty of shows they could run, and wouldn’t have to stick to reality shows 100% (factuals, news programming, game shows, lifestyle etc all fit into “reality”).
10 Reality could become a 24/7 Big Brother live feed during the season. I like it.
Right here is the proof. You’ve ignored all the positive stories I have done about 10, including my admiration of what they are doing in the 8.30/9pm timeslot.
Facts matter when you’re trying to disparage someone.
Seems that Big Brother is actually moving to Cairns ![]()
As the images shown are of the Screen QLD studio in Cairns not Murarrie .
I wonder if control room operations are in Brisbane and the house itself is in Cairns.
Side note: I’d love to know if these ‘reports’ are AI summaries feeding off MediaSpy speculation ![]()
Still holding out for a Hemmant setup
Someone had Googled Screen Queensland Studios and come up with an image of the wrong one.
I think the issue is that Big Brother varies in format between versions and even between season - The American & Canadian versions use the “Survivor in a house” format (hot take: superior format of BB) that the Ch7 version butchered, while other versions are closer to the original recipe Aussie version (public vote). They are two different shows that are produced under the same title. Plus BB is usually produced with the local flavour in mind (Canadian version has a talking moose give secret missions).
And with your suggestion of doing international versions for other shows - I 10play did that with Survivor (NZ, SA, UK and US) and I think they did that with Masterchef too.
I’m guessing that they can’t do that for Amazing Race (Ch7 have new seasons of US, Foxtel have (or previously had) old seasons of US, and the only other current/recent English speaking version is the hyper-local Canadian (they mostly race around Canada)).
Correct they have FAST channels as well. Surprised there’s not a Traitors 24/7 channel
No guarantee at all BBUK, BBAU or even BBUSA will return next year.
Updated
Apologises, we uploaded the wrong studio in our photo - this is the Cairns studio.

Do you have the video of this?
10 better be careful leaving Dreamworld again doesn’t backfire and alienate. It was, IMO, a significant reason last year’s reception was strong. It played a vital part, both in live streams with housemates outside and interacting with visitors on rides, to edited broadcast eps to the crucial live evictions. As well as the sense of just knowing that the house was there and tbe OG nostalgia.
I mean, we all agreed last year that they got the recipe right again and was a welcome return to form, if only the casting and some other elements were improved or tweaked.
Interesting. Also curious as to a definitive timeslot (Q4 worked, not sure vs some heavy hitters like Block, MKR or Voice would help 10).
I re-watched a Season 4 eviction on YouTube over the weekend. It was must-see live event TV. I know the budget will be smaller, but this was the gold standard the production should be trying to emulate. Including having the evictee on the couch to react to their memorable highlights and answer questions about their time in the house. Gretel was the master of live TV, Mel is good but she needs more to work with.
There is a portrait version circulating on BBAU Facebook:
Housemates interacting with the people on the rides was one of the worst parts of last season and not needed at all. Glad to be rid of that tbh. And the live evictions were a mess, big improvements needed there if they want them to be event TV again.
Yes, Dreamworld got the publicity they needed from it last year but wasn’t even able to provide even the most basic of facilities needed for a live show. The entire series was compromised for misplaced nostalgia. Hopefully the new location at least addressed some of those issues to deliver a better product on screen.
