No, the remote streaming computer crashed. Big Brother’s social team tried to blame the feeds team, but it took them 10 minutes to find the real cause of the broken stream.

With a) the heavy emphasis on BB’s early seasons in the build-up to its return and b) her return to 10 with The Traitors, surely Gretel Killeen will feature in some way, shape or form during the upcoming season?

An appearance during the opening of the launch night ep to perhaps pass the torch to Mel Tracina could be a nice touch.

She had an appearance in 2008 farewelling the show in a pre-recorded video so it’s not impossible but Gretel has distanced herself from BB quite a lot since she hosted it. The show threw so much at her to handle and I wouldn’t be shocked if she just wants to be done with the whole thing and make a new name for herself from The Traitors.

There was a rumour she didn’t get along at all with the EP from the later seasons, so if that’s true and that EP is returning, then I doubt she will.

Very much doubt Kris Noble will be returning, 10 are marketing this on OG BB Nostalgia and Kris was the one that steered BB to becoming very sexual and having twist after twist which led to its downfall.

It hasn’t been Gretel’s show for 18 years now. Her torch was snuffed a long time ago (and from the reruns a clear reminder she’d fallen out of love with the show a couple of years before she finished with it). BB is about Mel moving forward - I think the most they might do to link back to Gretel is use the finale to debut a trailer for The Traitors.

Ohh - I didn’t know that, but the vibe shift between producers is clear in watching moments of the marathon stream - the difference between the first 2 or 3 seasons and season 5 & 6 is night and day.

I doubt that Gretal would want to be involved given she was overlooked for the hosting role. It would feel like a bit of a step down going from a hosting role to doing something minor. She’s likely moved on. After all she was replaced as host aby network 10 in their final season. She’s clearly embracing new opportunities with hosting The Traitors.
